no joke... I thought I missed something being away for a week.

Finally got a ticket for my tint the other day - who knew 6% was illegal? Damn highway cops have nothing better to do... Court date on the 18th in Moncks Corner.

Fluid doesn't make or subtract banging noises.

Is their a trick to getting the strut mount nut off the strut assembly? Hand tools were a joke, and I guess the pneumatic tools I have aren't up to the job. Damn this air tank is puny.

Any tips? I might go over to the air base in the morning and use their stuff if father-in-law's 5-foot tall tank doesn't have enough PSI. I sprayed some PB Blaster on it just now - hopefully it'll break loose in the morning.

Cool! So the "trick" we used was to put the spring compressors on the springs, turn them like a turn each until the compressors were just BARELy under tension (enough to hold the spring without compressing it to the point that the strut mount would spin), and THEN use the pneumatic drill to break them loose. The key was to keep the strut mount and other bits (washers, bearings, etc.) under tension. This tension was enough to keep the strut shaft still while we hit it with the pneumatic drill. Once loose, the strut mount nuts came right off.

Review coming soon for the Lovells/KYB setup.

Hey, does anyone know the shaved-head/goatee guy that drives the PBM dropped 04 with the 06 tails that lives in Liberty Hall Plantation? I waved to him when pulling out for my first test drive today after having put on the new bits. I've seen him before (this was the guy I saw that had been rear-ended like a month ago). He pulled into one of the churches on LH Rd. He has the "shiny" rims.

with all the cold temps, my heatcore finally reared it's head. and since we changed the coolant out and flushed it, we forgot to run the heat and let the heatercore fill up with coolant.

so i had to throw a gallon in over a couple of weeks as the coolant alarm kept going off :P

i guess i'll remember that for the next time someone swaps a radiator or does a flush.

Melio, let me know if you need any of the above.

I have fronts/rears -

All i'm collecting now is some new rotors and pads - which i'll buy eventually.

The brake stock stuff i have now are still holding up, they're just 04 weakness and i want to upgrade in the near future.

I noticed the air in my tires are changing a bit - probably the cold air changing air pressure a bit. time to get my tires pumped up a bit.

If the spring is compressed as far as it can go they come off easily with hand tools.

LOL, no worries. Thanks for the feedback. Hand tool probably would have worked; we just weren't using them at the right time. It's all put together now, car cruises like stock, but holds a turn like a mofo. These tires may not last me now

Guys, if any of you with 17s need tires I have my originals with about 8000 miles on them in the garage. You will be responsible for dismounting them and bringing me back the rims.
$200. I figure I should sell them now before they become dry rotted or something.

We are going to do a get together for Jerm before he leaves. First week of December is really the only week left before he leaves besides next week.

So when is a good time to do this with Jerm picking the location.
