Also, IMO, stick with a ~7mm spacer max so you don't have to screw with hubcentric adapters

I do not remember the setup. I do know that I am one washer below max. When I had it on max it rubbed the wheel liner just sitting still. LOL.

I need to know how much bore we really need in contact with the hub ring and wheel.

Meh, I've done this. How else can you really test dynamic loading before buying the right spacers?

Another update. 7mm is more common than 8mm. 4 7mm spacers will be about 62 shipped to me. 4 8mm spacers will be about 88 shipped. So...at this time the only thing to do is to start stacking spacers. I will stack a 5mm and a 3mm spacer.

LOL

wtf ever.

Another update.

I can get 4 spacers machined that have a centerbore custom to the GTO for $125. I can do anywhere between a 5 and 10mm for this price as long as all 4 are the same (did not try to configure any other spacers). I believe this might alleviate any headache associated with trying to make this all work and also give the spacers more resale value in the GTO community when I decide I am a lowjo for only going with 8mm and push it out to 25mm.

I think that what I am getting out of this little experiment is that one should be able to run a 9" wide wheel in the front if it has a 40mm offset...?

Nevermind. An inch is an inch. And a 235-series tire stretched on a 9" wheel isn't what I would want to do.

remember the front doesnt camber in when it compresses like the rear does. with the wheel like you have it in the pics you are going to destroy that tire/fender over the first small bump in the road.

As stated somewhere earlier in this jank ass post I'm gonna add some negative camber up in here.

Talked to spacer expert maker guy today. He confirmed that leaving 5mm in contact was a solid plan. So 8mm it is.

No coil overs here brah. Good old fashion heated stock springs is what I roll on.

Pics of your jank ass setup brah?

Nice writeup about the hub btw! The last maybe 2-3MM on the bottom have the radius on them, which is how most hubs are deisnged and why most rotors have those gigantic chamfers on the inside to clear them. This is why when I designed spacers to fit I did so that they would located from the wheel studs, and left the hub hole large enough to clear the radius. The radius design is there for structural rigidity, because if it wasn't and they would just leave it sharp/flat then sooner or later that whole hub ring would crack off.

I would check with Akata spacer, they are an ebay vendor and have many options in 5x120 pattern since they are big with bmws!

Nah. This ain't Hellaflush. It's just trying to get a bit better look. Nothing wrong with a wee bit of poke, while keeping a wide tire. It's when guys run 245's on a 10" wheel when things get silly.

The OP is doing it all wrong by not putting skinnies and drag radials on his daily driver.
