How to get best sound quality?

I always hear people talking about adjusting speaker attenuation or adjusting the crossover to raise the level of the tweeters to your ears if they are sitting low. How do you do this exactly? What other things need to be done to maximize SQ?

Might be a dumb question, but are you inquiring about adjusting a stock setup, or aftermarket?

If stock, I saw this writeup once, but never attempted it:

If you're inquirirng about aftermarket, what type of setup do you have?
