People, go to a credit union. I bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee about 3 months ago and got it financed for 15k for 5 years, and i just went last week to get a personal loan for 8k. Stop going to big banks, search for credit unions.

OP GLWS.

Texas is at worst a days drive. This car would make the drive back a pleasant experience.

I know why it hasn't sold.... I'm advertising it here, and here only...and I'm not in a huge hurry. I think my price is right on, although I see gtos going for less they're not in this condition.

Very nice car. I don't get the black on the rear of the trunk lid. Is that paint or vinyl?

The only way to do it right is paint, especially after all the other bodywork.

If you don't understand the reason behind it most of the high horsepower muscle cars did this in the 60s and it kind of, in my mind, pays homage to the past.

do you have any interior shots you could post or send me maybe? i live about 8-10 hrs 1 way from st. louis. if i was to be interested in driving up, and it would not bother me at all because i love road trips, are you near the car or away from it? email is speedmontzj@yahoo.com if you need it.

i bet i could drive up there and drive it back in 1 day.

Yes alabama is a short trip. Pm me your phone number and I can text pics/vids

Also the car is at my house so I'm fairly close to it even when sleeping.

I will say this is true in most cases, but if you have a good banker, he can beat a credit union any day of the week. ive used the same guy since he helped me get my credit started when i was 18.

That was close to 15years ago. i can call him up and say i'm looking at this car i want, its xx,xxx. he says i'll draw up the paperwork and you can come by and sign it . no credit check, no hoops to jump thru. Of course that is within reason. i doubt he would do it if i asked for 30k for an '04 gto. In all those years thou, i have never even made a late payment. i would let the power bill slide before i would miss his paymet He was just a loan officer way back when, he is vice pres now.

they are not a really "big" bank i guess. i think there is 6 different branchs. So its small town bank, which is kinda like a credit union.

I've had a lot of people asking for pics/vids....if you PM me thats the easiest way as I now have a library of pics/videos on my phone to send out.

Also: I've been asked if the car has had any "rust issues" a few times now.

Even though I currently live in Illinois my military career took me mainly to the southwestern states. The car has never seen winter and has always been garage kept. No rust issues here, the bodywork is excellent.

You had to have a blemish on your credit man. That car blue booked for more then they were selling it for, and you had 50% down. No way a bank in their right mind would turn that down unless they knew you were high risk, even at that point they could reposess it and gain their capitol back.

Also three years ago would have been a five year old vehicle....banks don't seem to get leery really until 6+ years in my experience. Its all a money/risk thing, if a bank thinks they can make money they'll try and get it if they don't think the risk is too great.

Yea I asked them all the questions.I pointed the fact out they where in a WIN / WIN.No blimishes anywhere,I had them show me my credit report and numbers where up near the 800's and explain to me why??? I should have just went to the bank and got a loan, but I was so upset that I just let it go,bad on my part.

I just got a new car last year and the dealership and had no issues and my credit and the best offers where from the auto company and my CC,I chose the company.

Been asked a few times recently if I still have this car. Yes I do, it's parked in a garage, and it's safe from any kind of the winter weather we are slowly getting. I make sure this thing is always protected and pristine.

Pending Sale. Planning on being a proud GTO owner for a third time by Thursday. Summerwolf put together an extremely sharp car. It will be going to a good home.

congrats on the sale caleb.

no matter what you certainly did plenty to that car, and when it was done with mods and so forth, it was dope as can be.
