I live the country on the 17th. Major problem is the fact that I am home only during the weekends because I drive an 18 wheeler. Let me know

Hard to say. I will be in New Jersey Thursday morning. If I find a load to take me home to MI then we're on like Donkey Kong. Problem is, the freight on east coast has been dead for a week so if I can't find a load to MI I am forced to take whatever/wherever . I'll know for sure Thursday morning. Will call you then

Well, doing my research for all you 04 guys out there tonight, and this conversion for our kit actually looks like it's going to be really simple, easy, and straight forward. We'll be posting more info soon as we either get started with one coming to me, or I'm flying to UTI to work on theirs! Good things to come, and SOON!

GTO is in the shop....we converted it TO an 04, and now were reverse engineering it. We should have resolution by the end of the weekend (I've authorized mass overtime) for all you 04 guys PLUS be taking care of the issues (filters, dump tubes, etc) that have been expressed with the kit thus far.

I'm personally flying out to UTI on Wed to preform the 04 install myself and to oversee that everything goes well and fits properly.

Everyone who has purchased a kit will receive the upgrades for FREE. We just need to figure out a resolution as to how to go about sending everything out.

Also, since we have a GTO in the shop....we're going to go ahead and design a simple fuel system too.

Updates.....

FULL Filters, both sides! (complete re-engineering)
Repositioned passenger WG to account for 04's (notice the radiator)
New 04 upper radiator hose!

We should have the modifications done by tomorrow, and hopefully an 04 officially boosted by the end of the week!

Wow, the redesign of the passenger side has yielded tons more room. Question: Does the downpipe still end at the same location as the previous design?

Wow. Talk about standing behind your products! Too bad more companies aren't run like that these days.

We're trying, we're really really trying! But I have no way to judge once the original is out and the new one is in as the exhaust isn't done on this GTO yet.

If you set up an 05/06 as an 04 to use to design the 04 kit, keep in mind that the ECU placement in the 04 is different than the 05/06, so you'll want to take that in account as well, not just the cooling system differences.

Nice that there are filters on the new updates. I shall be installing mine this month as I will be on vacation the last three weeks of December. Hope to have it tuned right after since the weather has been nice and cool. I would think tuning it in 70 weather is better than 100+ weather in July around here.

Yeah but I wasn't talking about the 05-06... he said he converted a car (I'm assuming 05-06) to 04 so that he can build the kit around an 04. I was just reminding him that if I understood him correctly, the 05-06 car he "converted" to 04 is still going to have the ecu in a different stock location, as I'm sure he didn't convert the electronics, just the cooling system and whatnot.

Well you can always compare it to the drivers side downpipe (once you get to that point) since that side has not changed.

Yes, that's why we choose them. There the same filters with the same turbos that we run on many of our Hondas, and they were actually the first filters that we used on the first revision of the Corvettes (and even then they were crushed down to fit in the small cubby hole).

I think what he's referring to is the write-up on relocating the ECU. Some have relocated the 05-06 ECU to inside the passenger compartment, and that's exactly what we're aiming to do for the 04 setups. I know it's bigger and sits smack in the way along with the coolant reservoir, which is one of the issues we're having to overcome. We're making the changes in house, and I'm flying to UTI in AZ on Wed to implement them onto their 04.

Updates.....

Things went good today. Got everything finished up, and jigs made. The pass DP is REALLY close to where it used to be, if not exact, so hopefully it should be minor adjustments (if any) 05GTO.

We've redesigned the kit so the 04 and the 05 will share parts. Right now the only thing different I can see is the upper radiator hose (which is replaced on both with the kit). The 05/06 kits WILL loose the stock coolant reservoir with the installation of the filters. The fill neck is in the way, so both kits will have a reservoir with them. If for some reason you were really partial to the stock reservoir you could squish the filter around it, but in interest of making everything perfect, we just made a new reservoir (polished aluminum) and relocated it!

I do need some help though guys.
I need to know the exact routing of the lines for the coolant on the 04's. There's 2 ports in the top driver side of the radiator, I believe I have it right that one goes to the coolant tank, and the other to the steam lines on the heads? Are there only 2 ports on the reservoir (3 including the one on the top by the cap which I believe is a dump?)? I've Googled online, but I can't seem to find any really good pics, and I want to make sure there isn't a port hiding somewhere that's unaccounted for.

CK, in case you don't know: A4 GTOs have the TCM where people relocate the 05/06 ECU to, so that option is limited to M6 GTOs only.

All A4's? Or only on the 04 A4?

That's the one I saw, and it says something about the trans ecu, but then it's questioned a few posts down, "how are you an auto with 3 pedals". Never really clear on what's happening, if he also did it to an auto?

I believe there's a link to a thread on the AU forum pertaining to this in the original relocate thread on here, but I don't have an account on the AU forum so I can't read it.

Send a message to JAX04, I'm pretty sure he had an automatic that he relocated. I don't think he gets on this forum much anymore.
