January 19th - Garage Day

It's about time I put something in concrete so let's plan on January 19th at noon. We'll do lunch and whatever and I'll be working on the car so if you want to turn a wrench, watch, generally hang out, or run tools, you're welcome to come by.

Please feel free to bring something just like last time and POST WHAT YOU ARE PLANNING TO BRING. We had a blast last time and there were some phenomenal dishes that people brought. I'll get burgers/dogs/buns as last time.

FYI, the project is basically dropping the entire drivetrain/motor out of the bottom of the C6. Gotta get the motor to a spot I can get it torn down and sent to the machine shop.

Bet you wish you could use Ian's jig!Tough your ceiling height may be too low to get the body high enough.

I should be able to make this, but this time of the year might not be in the GTO. Look for a side dish like Mac Salad or Potato Salad.

Will be great to have you.

Good point and I should mention, I'm not expecting a lot of people to bring the cars out, but it'll be good to hang around and talk about cars and winter projects.

As long as they havent salted the road's or snow on the roads I should bring out the GTO, but if they have done any of that it will be a D/D.

If the weather is good I can make that drive...Wait...How far is that? I guess I need to google it.

Just checked not a bad drive and will have to stop at the Air & Space Museums next to Dulles.

Does those lifts require more than 120v 20amp circuit ? I have been really busy lately, what time does this event start ? If I can make it, do I need to bring the work van ?

Not required. They support both 120 and 240. I have an outlet you can put in the basement though for my projector

Anything that will go with burgers and dogs will work so salad, potato salad, chili, soup, cole slaw, cookies...whatever. I'm sure it'll go down the hatch.
