Gforce Mini tubs in stock

We get lots of emails and phone calls asking for wheel tubs. We keep them in stock all the time but never had them on our web site until now.

We patterned these mini tubs after the set we did on our shop car.

There are allot of shops that we sell these to as well as individuals that wanted to tackle the mini tub job.

In the past we shipped them unassembled and the customer had to put them together.
We now ship them assembled so you dont have to mess with it.

Price is $149. plus shipping.

Here is the link to the mini tubs on our web site
http://www.shop.gforce1320.com/produ...&categoryId=17

You will need more then just mini tubs to get big meats under your car, you will need to modify the control arms (or have us do it) and we suggest (but some dont) that you run our coilover kit.

And here are a few photos.

Thanks
Chris

What size tires can you fit?
What rim size/offset is recommended?
How much are the modified control arms? (Didn't see them on the website)

You can fit a 325 easily and some guys have put 355's under there.
The wheels we have on our car right now are 15x10.25" Bogarts with like 8.5" BS if I remember right.
We charge $650. to do the tubular mod to the control arms, some guys just notch them.

It requires welding. We ran a bead of sealant or silicon over the welds just to be sure it was air tight.

Can you get away without welding?

LSPWR was mentioning that in a tub job he did to his own car that welding created more noise/creaks?

I know nothing about the details but just some information I would bring up to either have someone verify or deny you need to weld them.

In order of most severe...what becomes the issues with running a wide rear tire? I would assume:
1) Tire to control arm issue
2) Tire to shock issue
3) Tire to fender issue

Just guessing but looking at pics of tub jobs.

You don't have to weld the entire tub in, just several areas and a few spot welds is fine.
Different places do it differently, we weld them, others pop rivet and bond them in. Both get the same results.

#1 and #2 are going to be your next issue. You cant run anything larger then a 275 without hitting your shock and even then they will probably rub.
You can cut the dust cover off the shock to gain a little room and you can also use our shock extensions to gain even more room.

$1800 doesn't seem that bad at all for the work being done.

I would LOVE to do this, but it would be a snowball effect...tube it, then need to go coil overs, then need new wheels and tires....UGH

I want a damn money tree.

Do you guys have to do anything special so that the tire has full contact and doesn't get inner or outer tread wear

We do a cradle mod to correct the negative camber. We are working on having the cradle boxes that we fab up as a kit to sell in the near future.

This thread tells about it.
