Miker, what a bummer. Maybe if you had that new rear wing on you could have flown over the mess!

Not gonna make the meet tonite. Another instance of life getting in the way of things I want to do. Besides, I haven't washed the goat in weeks. Ashamed to take it out. Probably give ShAkZ's goat competition for dirtiest gto!

And I do mean we since it will be me, my wife and my daughter at the meet... That means you kids need to be on your best behavior! Lol. I'll see yall there... And I don't think I will be late as my wife is MUCH more punctual than i am.

Doing an 8hour test as you speak. Sitting in it while I play video games. So far 3 hours, doing fine.

It holds your legs together so your balls go to a unique place.

*Edit* After 5 hours I needed a stretch.

Just sold 200lbs of stock 04 parts (rotors, springs, etc.) to scrap metal yard in Ladson. Only $20 for the lot of it. Whatever, nobody wants stock 04, 100k-mile parts anyway, haha.

I did find out that you need a permit to sell catalytic converters in SC (or other non-ferrous materials for that matter). Dude said he'd give me $80 for both - not great, but better than them sitting in my garage for all eternity or never selling on here, lol.

One of the attendants said he sees Socar's goat around sometimes, and likes the sound of it. Wants to race Socar, but he's never game, lol.

these will be going in this week, with new taylor wires and switching to the slp bobcat tune. Pretty happy with how the finish turned out, im not too concerned about the headers being super pretty, if i have to paint them again in a few yrs oh well, still worth the savings for me. Maybe i'll change my mind down the road but i've painted some stuff with that VHT high temp enamel and it's held up pretty well, so we'll see.

Get a real tune. SLP will lock your ECU so no one else can tune it.

slp tuners will lock your computer with it's tune ,so you can't get a dyno tune from someone else.unless you send your computer to them. i think it happened to noyz1.

Some folks claim headers can be slapped in in just about 3 hours. Maybe so, if you've done it 20 times. However, to support that claim, having finagled with mine so much to reduce rubbing against some other neighboring parts I've learned some breakdown/reassembly tricks, so doing it in 3-4 hours doesn't really seem like a far stretch (that's probably the FASTEST you could do it, though) - 2 hours to take off stock parts, 2 hours to put in new shiny ones. It's not hard, and not even really all that many bolts to turn. As long as nothing fights you, it could be done in an evening or Saturday morning/afternoon.

Most folks take 7-8 hours I believe, as something WILL fight you (power steering lines won't rethread, steering knuckle won't line up, etc.). Mine took like 18 hours because a header bolt broke off in the head (the very front bolt on the passenger side), so I had to take time to pull the head off and have a local machine shop melt/blow out the broken bolt that was down in the head. Then I had to reinstall the head/intake/headers - what a nightmare, all for a 30-cent bolt. They put in a new sleeve for that bolt, and it's now probably the most secure header bolt I have, lol.

i got it used for cheap, and ive already loaded and unloaded it several times, making changes as i go. It made a pretty huge difference just with the minimal mods i have. I dont see how it would lock unless you don't unload the slp tune completely before getting rid of it, or accidently delete the stock tune off the predator. I'll get it dyno tuned once im done adding parts, i just didnt really want to pay for multiple tuning sessions, and figured i may have to travel somewhere to get it done anyway. I got the slp off the forum for ~$150, and hoping to sell it for not much less when im ready to dynotune. seemed worthwhile in the meantime.

and yea the whole reason im doing headers now is one of the ex manifold bolt heads broke off so i figured while i was in there... ha ha at least that's my excuse.
