Saw a PBM with blue flames on it heading west on Spencer around 4 in the afternoon yesterday. Not really my kind of style, but, hey, whatever floats your goat...

Got my goat out of the shop this morning and seen an 06 IBM with what appeared to be a carbon hood or flat black/grey hood. We both revved at each other HARD on 45south near downtown this morning around 9:30am. He was definitely cammed.

I've been seeing an 04 PBM in my garage for the past couple of years. Impulse buy but just now old/wise/fiscally responsible enough to start mods/join a forum. Who do you trust your baby with in the Houston area? Also would enjoy doing a lot of the work myself, any advice on knowledgeable online part suppliers?

welcome aboard!

for mods in houston id recommend Powerfab automotive, auto adrenaline performance or D3PE.

all run by really good guys and do good work.

for ordering online most all of the vendors on here are really good.

what are your plans for the car?

Thanks for the welcome! As of immediate, my plans include fixing some minor issues/ trunka actuator, speed sensor going out... Then, MAKE IT FAST! Not that it isnt already but it could be so much moar. Thats where this forum comes in for me, I have a tendancy to have too many projects going on at once, im hoping i could find some direction and actually get something done. Although id like to leave the exterior alone with the exception of the blackout tails that it came with, tired of eating tickets for those.

This car is a mystery to me, i grew up working on the oldschool, my first project car with my daddy was a 69 judge, and will admit to not know much about new cpu motors and this newfangled stuffs and where I can take it but, I'm here to learn ?

Welcome! No speed shops in the Tri-city area? I wrench on my own car - I think you'll be hard pressed to find an easier performance machine to work on. Late Model Engines built my engine and Late Model Racecraft on the far northwest side of Houston tuned it, but they're $pendy for work. I've dealt with many of the forum sponsors for parts...can't really say much bad about most of them for ordering bolt-on parts. Undoubtedly, you'll have lots of questions, but a word of advice: try and search for answers to your questions before posting in the forums. Otherwise, the wrath of the vets and trolls will be loosed upon you; it can be a little discouraging for some, enraging for others. What are you looking to do?

This made me sound like a retard, my brain was a bit on overload yesterday. I understand the basic mechanicsmof a motor, what i meant to say was im learning how the cpu is now responsible for things such as MAF and how all the sensors and such tie into it. I do have to say its pretty nice to plug in a OBD scanner and know what and where your issue is but, i havent had much time until lately to learn.

I'd probably stick with the 92 and put the money towards headers or an OTR/tune if you plan to stay NA!

You would see extremely minimal gains (if any) going to a 102 on an otherwise basically stock '04. Your money would be much better spent on other mods.

Spotted a red '04 in a parking lot at U of H yesterday that I've never seen before, looked to be stock aside from '06 tails.

I agree, 102 on a basically stock car would probably be very hard to get tuned correctly.
