Ya, make sure it is verified on the street after and ensure it isn't knocking.

Lol I know its making considerably more power than before, a few mid 12 second cars can attest to that rape train

I'd have the tuner go conservative on the spark since it is in the dead of winter, or have him add spark using the IAT spark adder tables.

If you go all out on the spark in winter, it may knock once the warmer temps come around.

Dont worry about the number... It doesnt mean much...

Use the dyno to TUNE the car... Thats all..

If you made 700whp or 500whp.. What difference would it make if you lost to a 280whp IROC camaro with a 383TPI???

Rob Zona's C5Z had went VERY VERY QUICK in the 1320... Theres yet to be a Stock bottom ended C6Z LS7 to run with his former Stock Bottom End Ls6 setup... 9.98 @ 13x.mph, I doubt it made much of a difference to the C6Z guys that have lined up to them what they dynoed come the end of the quarter mile..

465whp C5Z:

950+WHP C5Z:

I would rather be the guy in the 9.98 Stock Bottom End car with ALOT more $$$$ in my pockets than say I made 900+whp and run 10's on MT Bias....

Just my .02cents on the Dyno thing... Its a Tool... Ive seen some pretty outrageous dyno numbers that can give ya a big head, or a shitty day. Conditions change, cars change, different dynos, etc.... Wanna find out who has a quicker car... Line em UP!

While I agree, I wouldn't call RobZ's car cheap by any means. He had a LOT of badass parts in that car to go that fast. Probably $2k in just his valvetrain, but I get your point.

Neither car is CHEAP...

But I doubt a 403cu, YSi, Meth Kit, Built Trans/Diff, full supporting mods, suspension, drag pack.... vs LS6/$4500 heads/$400 cam/LT's/Built Trans&Diff (RPM STUFF!)/stock fuel pump/ injectors/Drag Pack/suspension would cost more then BlownBlueZ

Both kool cars tho..

As for your Vendor, Tell them that 2.6H Kenne Bell Cobras barley break 600whp @ 19psi of boost with supporting mods on the dyno.. 2.3 Whipples at 17psi are around 570-580 there.

That 388 is an oversquare motor designed for high rpms.

He spins it to 9k.

Hes a smart man. He builds his cars so he is never below like 7k in the 1/4 mile. That LS1 is an LS7 with an ls1 crank.

Had some issues on the Dyno today. Made my first pull and got 444/418 or something close, and made a fueling change (was still lean) and picked up 10 rwhp from one change. FOund out my TPS sensor was acting up, and wasnt registering the correct values at WOT to actually give my car WOT fueling/timing. The Dyno operator was impressed with my car, and said he thinks 480 RWHP is attainable on pump gas!!! It put down 454/425 before we figured out the oops on the TPS. Pretty good IMO on that stingy dynojet.

Oh ya that torque number does sound like a 470-475ish rwhp car. Nice.

Is your car still Cable Operated TB??

Looks like you were hitting PE after 4600rpm... Did you try just target the g/cyl vs RPM timing table you were running in to get your peak numbers while you were there?

Yes still cable operated!

I just made the first run, tried a fueling change and I didnt do anything so we were looking at why and found out the TPS sensor was only going to like 80%, and Dan said it wasnt allowing it to go into WOT fueling. I spent 2-3 hours on the Dyno myself lol

Spun a bearing - Swapping in an LS2-

Nice! She's definitely not just any old '04 any more, haha. I think once you clean it up, 460-470 is very realistic, but I don't doubt 480 being in your reach.
