I received mine today; Mike sent me an email alerting me they shipped though. So chances are if you haven't gotten an email, yours have not shipped yet.

BUMPING THIS BACK UP.

Do we need to keep the stock brake lines when doing this swap? I want to switch to stainless lines.

You don't need to, just switch to 05/06 stainless lines when you do the swap.

I thought the 04 SS lines were more desirable because they are longer than the 05/06 ones?

Sorrrrry, might've been a little drunk when I posted that.

You are correct, 04 lines are good. Both will work, but 04 aftermarket are probably still a little longer than 05/06.

Only if you plan to use the Camaro version of this caliper...

Camaro version tapped at the bottom, CTS-V at the top.

It doesn't matter if you use the Camaro or the CTS-V version. They're both the same caliper, and you have to have the bleeder on the top. The only difference is that on one you have to switch the lines to put the bleeder on the top.

He's talking about the feed hole for the brake line. Camaro and CTS-V calipers are identical dimensionally, but one has the hole tapped on the upper feed port and one has the hole tapped on the lower feed port.

So no, they're not the same.

+1... also both versions of these calipers were originally mounted in a trailing position on their respective vehicles so the bleeders/crossovers need to be swapped regardless... but other than these two items, dude is 100% correct!

Camaro calipers also use a 2mm bigger bolt. So these brackets wouldn't work.

So it really is the 05/06 brake hose that i need with V calipers? I also had it in my head that i needed the 04 lines.

I am finally getting motivated to work on this since march is just over 3 weeks away. Ordered these brackets and some zimmermann rotors yesterday and have been sitting on the calipers and V bolts for a couple months so i suppose some brake hoses and pads are about all i need now... well, and some caliper paint.

It's the 04 brake lines you want. The only real difference between them and the 05/06 (that I am aware of) is that they are longer.

Proxses might need to update his instructions. The .pdf says use 05/06 hoses regardless of the car

Either will work with V calipers. The 04 lines would be needed with Camaro calipers.

This might be a repost, but has anyone used the G8GXP calipers?

Looks like they come in silver with Brembo and Pontiac painted on them?

I don't think so, but I want to. They're more expensive, but that was my plan. Too lazy to repaint calipers.

Be the guinea pig!

I just got a batch today.
If you need the 2004 spacers, then it will take a couple days.
2005-6 kits can ship Monday.
