Wow you did an amazing job.
It looks fantastic.
I'll be on that list for wanting one from you too lol.
If you started making more, I'm sure it'd be profitable, seeing how good it came out.
It sounds like another one wouldn't take you that long to make, either.
You could easily double/triple your initial parts investment.
Maybe something to consider

Very nice work. I'm interested to see how the two tone looks installed.

Jeff, I'm going to be painting one of these also in the near future. I think I'll try the satin nickel paint. I wonder if the amount/color of the primer makes any difference as to how much purple shows through???

I will be watching for that. I don't think any of the purplish tint of the factory finish is going to show through at all with even just 2 coats primer and 3 of color (the minimum I would do). And another thing to consider is that if you want the two-tone finish, I found it MUCH easier to paint the entire thing flat black and then paint the silver as opposed to the other way around.

Post pics when you do it! I am contemplating taking mine out and redoing it... again. Mine will probably have 40 coats of paint on it before I am happy, lol

Awesome project man, I'm gonna have to try this. Thanks for the write up as to how to tackle this job. As stated by a couple people before me. If you have some spare time, I'd be more then happy to pay for a great looking bezel! I have some aeroforce gauges headed my way.

Here's another thread a few months later that a different guy made. Almost the exact same thing.

Defib ready, CLEAR!

Found this thread from your signature, and you are correct that the prices for a center pod are too expensive to contemplate.

Very nice work, though - kudos! I can't help but wonder if the bezel trim paint color (OEM) is available from any source. That would be the only thing holding me back, as my guesses on paint-matching dont seem to go well.

Is there a reasonable source on color-matched gauges for our cards? BOM would be tough to match, unless I went with blk with white lettering.

Best "how-to" yet for the buck. Besides no one selling them. Turned out great!
