SD tune w/ MAF?

Just got back today and got to drive my car today with the new setup. Car is awesome but due to rain I couldn't have too much fun. Over the phone the shop told me they did a SD tune on the car but I noticed the stock MAF was still on. I know usually the MAF goes away and a single coupler is used. I guess my question is, is this normal and would this be holding back some power here? I plan to buy a new coupler soon and ditch the MAF.

keep me posted Randy...Id like to know that harness is working out...removing/deleting the MAF sensor should reduce air intake restriction a little...

Well I must be wrong putting the sensor in front of the radiator.

Oh wait it id give me a consistent 1.5 to 2.0 mph improvement in speed and a slightly quicker ET.
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. There are a huge number of variables involved. Nevertheless, a more correct IAT reading is better than a faked lower one.

DuSpeed puts the IAT in front of the radiator...no issues on my car so far...
