I'm just curious about gains I should be seeing going for a tune only (93 octane, bone stock with K&N intake, and flowmaster mufflers). My tuner will be using EFI live and a dyno dynamics dyno.
In theory the lifter trays will retain the lifter without the need of those rods, but do you really want to take the chance? Personally Ill be using the rods - I dont feel like pulling the pan/windage tray to retrieve a dropped lifter....lol
Stock I would say 15-20 rwhp, but I would wait and do headers first before the tune if you plan on doing anything else, then the tune after. More bang for your buck IMO.
