Wheels and tires have arrived and test fit the wheels. Everything is good, plenty of clearance on the CCB. Getting them mounted next week.

Nice. Just curious, what did that run you? Thinking about having mine done but prices are all over the place.

Wow, smurf that. I can spend a lot of time and money on pads/polishes for that. I still have some opti-coat in the garage.

That did include a full paint correction effort, too. They spent 12 hours on just that.

I would never pay that much, still skeptical how this will work but I guess we will see with time.

I had a good friend of mine do it who does PDR, detailing, and clear bra/tint installs for a living. Let's just say he just charged me for the detail itself.

Wheels/tires are on. Tires stick amazingly well, so nice to finally be able to go more than 1/2 throttle without a spinfest. Can finally feel the true acceleration, this thing is a rocket. Also installed cf k&n intake. I cut one pad off the rear lowering bolts since this picture, and the fronts seem to have come down a bit more. I have about 1 finger width gap between fender and tire all around. Haven't decided if I still want to go a hair lower.

I envy you guys with paved roads.
I'm still at stock height and can only go into and out of my driveway from one direction, and every time I have the car out I must scrape the front air dam at least a half dozen times going through intersections.

Checked around here, a decent paint correction costs at least $800 to start, and about $280 for ceramic application.

Lowered the car more, this is with 1 pad cut off front stock bolts, and 2 pads off the rear. Then got it all aligned. Looks much better now in my opinion, and is sitting perfect.

I also got some new interior pieces, alcantara with 60th anniversary blue stitching. Got the updated steering wheel with black spokes and thumb grips, shift knob and boot, and ebrake handle and boot. Love the change and the feel.

I don't know how you guys do that. I bounce my splitter off of the ground all the freaking time here. Of course, Colorado has absolutely SHIT roads.

That's just part of being a low life. Most of the scraping you hear is probably the rubber air dam that hangs down under the car. Can't say I have scraped the cf splitter yet. Just have to go slow and take big dips, driveways, or speedbumps at an angle.

Mine scrapes my driveway, a bit of an incline, every time I back it out. Creates strips of plastic that I have to peel off from time to time and have a file just for it now, heh.

Not that big of a deal as long as it's just the bottom so one can't tell. I think someone on Corvette forums said they only cost ~$200 to replace so not the end of the world even if it does get damaged. Looks like it's just screwed in from underneath so no clips and such to smurf with and break off.

^^^ could be wrong, don't quote me on that!

No problem. I'm going to need some help because apparently a base model convertible with a bra and the photo taken by a potato is more worthy than my car... Most likely some old codger had his whole club vote for him.

Got mine back from the body shop a few weeks ago. I took it to a highly-regarded local guy that specializes in classic car restoration.

This is maybe not the absolute best pic to show it off, but this is the corner that shows all of what was replaced. The fender, bumper cover, and stripes on the bumper are all brand new. The guy was not able to do any paint blending because of the ceramic coating, so all of the new panels were paint-matched off of the car.

Granted, it's Arctic White, not a metallic or pearl - but the guy knocked it the eff out of the park. The car looks brand new, like nothing ever happened.

The 'Grand Sport' badges are factory black, from the 2012 Centennial editions, and the LED corner lenses that used to be wrapped in smoked vinyl are now painted/cleared.

Do they fit well? All the examples I have seen, the housing is thicker than stock and sticks out which to me doesn't look good. I don't really notice it on yours.

Ive got a set of stock markers headed my way, going to try to install some COB LED's in them to match my tails. See how that goes, if its shit, I'll give up and get the Oracles.
