Strut support brace has to be removed and modified if I want to still use it.

With keeping the 2 bolt holes on top of the intake for the cable bracket I will have to notch the hood support.

Won't know till I install.

Cross over cable fits but more "finessing" is required to relieve un-needed stress on the cable.

My fuel rail brackets are a fail. So I'll be rebuilding them next.

But while I was at it I went ahead and touched up the modified c6 intake so I got a photo of the 2 together.

lolololol at the intake stand. TP has sooo many uses right?

So far the set up looks great, hope it works well for you. You are definitely a patient man with all the time you've put into these 2 parts.

TP has many uses, just like Duct tape, and zip ties.

Poor = Patience

New fuel rail brackets are a success! I'm painting them black. I'll post photos later tonight.

WARR 92mm ThrottleBody just arrived. Excited to see how it looks in person.

Permatex Thread Sealant arrives tomorrow

So last things I need to make / purchase:
Gasket for TBSS intake manifold *Update* Found it on Rockauto ; made by MAGNUM and only cost $19.00 + $9 for shipping.
Bracket to hold MAP sensor in place

Then its a matter of cleaning, tightening down, inspecting fitment and "finessing", then finally, getting a retune.

Total price so far:

TBSS intake + fuel injectors + fuel rails + Bolts = $100
Fuel Rails = $120
Bondo + Sand paper + Palm Sander = $70
Hydro - dip paint + Black Paint + Clear Coat = $40
Brass hardware = $35
WARR 92MM TB = $140
Blue Loctite + Permatex = $10
Custom fuel rail brackets = $4
Magnum TBSS gasket = $28.00

$547.00

What I'm going to have for sale when I'm done:
TBSS fuel injectors $100 - $200
TBSS fuel rail $50
LS1 fuel rail $50
LS6 intake manifold $325 - $400
LS1 fuel injectors $50

There is a potential to break even!

Annnnnnd the price for a retune.

i would hurry up and sell the LS6 manifold. i remember when the dorman ls1/ls6 came out, it seemed like the OEM ls6 prices dropped a bit. i'm sure they will drop permanently if the dorman LS2 manifold pans out.

Good point!

*Update*

I don't know what specifics to look for in a throttle body; But to my un-trained eye, it seems really nice.

Test fit.

Some sanding on the intake is required. But the blade opens and closes just fine, doesn't hit anywhere. Only thing that bothers me is the fact that the intake points up instead of down.

Need to brain storm an adapter plate *cheese wedge shaped* or a coupler with a bend in it.

Let's get this thing installed!

Ha! I had a thought yesterday. Instead of spending $900 on a fast intake I could buy a carbon cowl hood and put my tbss intake on for the same price lol. I was going to paint the hood to match the car color except the cowl, leave it carbon. Didn't mean to thread jack! I can't wait to hear how this runs!

This is the logic that is wrong with the GTO community these days.
