I really like the idea of a primered/weathered hood by itself. I've always been a fan of the sleeper look, one of the reasons my Goat is still stock.

I actually think the best sleeper look is to make it look restored. Most restored muscle cars run 14s while I've seen a bunch of primerEd rides click off 9s with junk boosted 5.3s.

Looking good! When does it go in for paint? Are you going to do white with the Judge stripe package, and the wing?

I'm still up in the air on colors. I was originally going white with black spoiler and judge stripes.
BUT, I want to black things out, tint windows, black out window chrome, headlight chrome, black out grills, black wheels, etc... and I think that is too much black out for a white car...
so I am leaning towards a dark color, black wing, blacked out window trim, black chrome rear bumper (who remembers that) and the blacked out wheels.
I want to do a matte gray, but I think the judge stripes with the reflective tape might look like crap on a matte car...
So to answer your question about what color...I don't know yet. lol

As to when it goes in to be painted? I'm working a lot of hours at the paying job right now. As I get time I will be blocking out and priming and getting ready to paint. I hope to have it painted by April or so.

I hit that point tonight where I cut out the drivers side wheel well to get the Gforce tubs in. Not even close to your project but it's all relative.

I am going to have to send one back because the face color is wrong, but I spent some time mounting and hooking these up today.

I wish my dash looked like that. Especially those two gauges up near the windshield.

I dig it. Of you don't miND could you take a picture through the windshield of the two gauges in the corner.
Have you thought about doing a hood tach with the same gauge face style?

The dash and defroster pieces are dirty as hell. I need to clean them and see how well the gauge pods match. Can still adjust color on the pod.
I intend to run a hood tach, getting the face of the hood tach to match these gauges is going to be a challenge but I am going to try.
