The box does what it's supposed to do. How's it working out for me? When I first used it, I wasn't making enough vacuum for the brakes to hold the car back much over 2K. I installed the hydro boost and really never gave it a fair shot again. I need to. I always thought if I could get it up around 3200 at the line I might improve on a 1.364 short time.

I need to give it a fair chance now then use it or sell it if it doesn't work out.

I thought I was banned for two weeks

In November 2015, I blew the engine in my '06 GTO. The car has been sitting outside, motionless, for over a year. Very sad.

Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger on a replacement today. I'm having a racing shop build a forged LS3 stroker to replace the LS2. And to make it real fun, I'll be installing the D1-SC from the old engine.

Of course, a new clutch and flywheel are in order, followed by a mini-tub to get some wider tires underneath her. So it ain't gonna be cheap. But hey, doesn't everyone have three or four mortgages? :P

I was going to go Australia to get one and ship it over, but I found one in California on Ebay. I'll still be going to Australia in March to ship back a bunch of parts.

Ended up adding a no-name short shifter (believe its the same as the one sold by gtog8ta.com) a hinson clutch bleeder line and rear eccentrics for camber.
Once I get it apart I have to assess what bushings need replacing. I'm guessing I'll need guibo and carrier bearing. Maybe trans mount and engine mounts.

2017 plans consist of a 3600 stall, trans cooler, line lock, Hinson poly trans mount, arp wheel studs & DSS axles.

I'm hoping to take part in Drag Week this year since it's so close to the Chicagoland area.

Since you posted it I have to ask you a question. You're going to spend a metric shit ton of money on parts and getting them here, and risk all of that going to the crusher? I mean, this isn't some japanese import car where there are a bunch of similar models already running around to confuse things. We're talking about a car-truck that is completely different than anything offered except the El Caminos.

Also, let me know if you want me to delete my post. I'm not trying to gather any undue attention, just want to know where your head is.

I'm going to Australia with $20K. I will be supplying the US with Monaro parts for a while. But yes, I will be merging a Ute with a GTO and will be vin'd as a GTO. Car show only kind of ride.
