new year, whats on the agenda for your goat?

Figured this might be a fun topic plus, its not like anything else is getting posted in here.

for my GTO the rear diff needs rebuilding. once my jeep sells ill order the parts and start removal. since im in there, 3.91 gears, truetrack and other hard parts as needed and it gives me an excuse to slap in the anti wheelhop axle ive had for a couple years now haha. once that it done i am going to look into redoing my exhaust setup. adding cats to it and changing the mufflers to something a bit quieter. its so damn loud now my ears ring after driving it for 20+ minutes.

also might be putting a head unit in it finally.

for my wifes GTO the headliner needs redone and need to replace the sway bar end link on the drivers side. otherwise nothing really needed for it other than possibly a 1 pc driveshaft since the guibos are going out again.

what do you have on the plate for your car?

Since my car is a lot stronger than it's ever been (I need to update my sig), I just want to get my drive-ability issues resolved. Gonna change out my fuel injectors, replace my IACV, and go in for a full retune at D3 (Now Prospeed).

I'm hoping they do a better job with the tune, since I hate how I have to start my car: I, myself, have to throttle the car to ~2K, then ease it down to 1K. It then has to idle for at least a few minutes, otherwise it'll die just going down the driveway. If I don't self-idle the car, it'll start up and die immediately. I'd also like them to do something with the shift points so it'll run smoother when I'm hauling ass on the highway.

My plans for the car, this year, in no order:
Transmission work at Circle D - Nothing too drastic. Just enough to handle the power I have in it, now. [I do have plans for a stronger transmission, but that'll be very far in the future]
C6 Wheels - Already have all the wheels purchased, and rear tires installed. Just gotta buy tires for the front, then see if I want to "make them fit" or just go in for a mini-tub. If mini-tub, I'm debating on buying a drag setup for the rear for Track Days.
Exhaust Hanger - Damn rubber came off my passenger side hanger. Easy fix. Just gotta get the tips aligned.
Headlights - My driver's side headlight has had the sun beaming down on it for quite some time. So I'm hoping to either have it cleaned up, or I'm gonna hunt down a new set.
Headliner - Mine is sagging. Just not terribly. Yet.
Driver's Side Visor - Mine finally snapped.
Shifter Handle - Gotta replace the screw, since it finally loosened up.

All the above is assuming I have the funds for it, since I *plan* on buying a house this year. But I guess we'll see.

Headliner for me, too. I have all the stuff to do it, just need to set aside some time to do it and recruit an assistant.

Other than that, I just need to do a full hardcore detail.

Good to see some life in here. Looks like 2017 is the year of the headliner. Mine are all minor cosmetic things. I have an appointment with the interior shop to fix my headliner. It's just starting to sag a little. Mine needs a good professional detailing and clean up the wheel rash on the stock 17's.

I'm planning on racing the GTO at RPR this Friday weather permitting, if my Camaro isn't ready. Haven't raced the GTO since June so just hoping for more consistent 12.9x's.

All his stuff is great and worth the wait. Good dude, just wish he would make a new splitter since all the options are gone or suck!

Darn 6 speeds. That's why mine is stock and I bought a $2k Fbody to race. That's also why I run bias ply's. You should definitely come out.

From the time I ordered and received my carbon fiber diffuser was about 2-3 months. I couldn't be happier with look and finish of it.

Still waiting on my SAP grill inserts and spoiler.

I'm getting the itch to do something over the winter as well, since it doubles as exercise and helps my "Hey, I did something today" GTO reward center of my brain. Plus, I floored and insulated the attic above my garage, so it stay pretty mild in there year around now.

Radius rod bushings, maybe rear sway bar and waxing the car are all on my hit list. Contemplating a 'master bushing kit', but damn it's a comfortable ride and I hate to mess that up. On the flip side, I took some curves back on country roads doing 80 (marked 50mph) and you sure could feel the body roll.

As far as headliner, mine is in good condition, but fell right above the passenger seat. I ordered some "Heads Up Industries Saggy Stoppers Emergency Headliner Fasteners" and that makes it look neat and tidy enough to hold me over until the rest starts giving me problems. Wish me luck..

My diffuser came quick, like a month after I ordered it. The spoiler though, I've been waiting on since April or May of last year.

Lol... Just waiting on the brodix block. Then all the fun begins.

I hope to at least have the engine assembled and on a spintron by December. Then break the next new year in right with some dyno numbers. That is the goal anyway.

Since my car's still stock w/40K miles except for an Alpine DD the plans are minimal. New RR and differential bushings, replace speakers and possibly a rear sway are all I expect to do to her this year outside of routine maintenance.

BTW, great thread idea OP.

I'll be out at RPR this weekend. Buddy wants to test out his tuned Audi S6. I'll probably see how well the new stall works with my 19s.

my new (to me) lexus needs rotors and pads and maybe a rebuild on the rear passenger caliper and im going to swap all the interior incandescent bulbs to LED. most of those have arrived, i just need to start swapping them this weekend.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely loved my vette. But it was a 06 base I had done a lot of stuff to and was turning into a money pit. Also it is hard to buy a C6Z06 when you own a base model.

This is in Texas section but since everyone else is doing it.

I've driven my GTO for probably 60,000 miles needing a clutch/slave. I'm pretty sure that is what has kept my car out of the ditch and out of tickets.

Finally picked up an LS7 clutch setup, new flywheel, slave. Going to rebuild drive shaft and/or carrier bearing along with guibo replacement while I'm in there.

Also, one of the kooks LT's is leaking at the flange/pipe. Hoping to sort that out as well.

11.2-11.5:1 and running pump. BB3x won't get me there. I need 480cfm or more. Both the SR20 and Big Chief will get me 510-525cfm. I prefer the SR20 due to packaging, but the Big Chief would be cool for the nostalgia factor. I'll just have to see what I can package. I'll be borrowing a used pair for mockup. The SR20 would be an easy shoe in do to their small footprint.
