I don't have the weight for the OEM shaft. I believe the shipping weight is 15-16lbs

How many would be interested in a Sound deading foam in the tube to stop the noise from the pinion lash when you put it in gear....

This sounds like a great idea and would have me considering a 1 piece. I'm actually surprised it wasn't done sooner with the amount of people that have the rear end clunk.

Maybe a stupid question.. would this be on the aluminum shafts only? Or would it be for the CF as well?

And have you guys made one and tested it yet? If so any before and after videos?

Can this be done post purchase? I bought a DSS aluminum shaft and sold it because of the "clang" and now I have a DSS CF shaft that is much quieter but I'd like to have it fully dampened if possible.

I just received my parts a few weeks back and haven't had time to install them. Work is killing me and yah I'm strung out on all Andy's speed parts. I'm waiting for the wife to try to find a hot rod rehab for me LOL. I tell her it's all andy's falt for having stuff in stock and having such great customer service.

On an aluminum shaft it could be done but would take some work,I guess it would be about 200.00 to do it, the carbon can not be un-bonded so it would not be able to be done on them after its already been made, sorry. Keep in mind the real issue is the Rear and not the shaft, we are just trying to make the car better and offer the best shaft available, if it works it would be nice but i really wish the diff would not slap like it does. We are going to test a few and see if it helps

Do the CF one piece shafts have a higher critical speed than the aluminum ones? I have an aluminum DSS one piece but the noise and limited top speed annoys me.
