You don't need a cage to go 10's. You need a roll bar.

Pretty sure you need a 5 or 6 point for 10.00 - 11.49

A 6 point is a roll bar not a roll cage. You need a roll bar at 11.49 and a cage at 9.99.

I changed the title just for you.

When I think of a roll bar I think of a roll bar with 2 point that's worthless. If I asked for an 8.50 cert cage I'd be wanting to go faster than 9.99.

My wife drives mine and it has AC and all. It doesn't feel any different from running 12s to 10s.

Mine has an RPM Level 7 4L65

In my experience from 3 different tracks a lot depends on if there are complaints from other drivers and what the event is...

On one of the tracks I ran at you get one warning to slow it down or you are out.

On the other 2 tracks it would depend on the event you are running. If it was one of the late night "street drag" events then everything was way more laid back as far as tech. Basically if you didn't do anything stupid you were good to go. On other events like a regular test and tune or other organized events if there was one complaint from another competitor you are done.

One time at a "street drag" event I ran a NA pass and ran a 7.1x 1/8th mile. The next time around waiting in the staging lanes a track official came and talked to me. He said you don't have a roll bar or anything and explained the rule to me about roll bars. He said I could go ahead and run, but be careful because those rules are there for a reason. That next run I sprayed it and ran a 6.5x 1/8th mile. The next time around in the staging lanes he looked at me and just smiled and shook his head, but let me run.

Different day at the same track during a test and tune...one pass on motor and the competitor I ran against on that pass came over with a track official and I was asked to leave.

I did it for a very short time before I installed a bar. I have tracks around me I could get away with it but I couldn't get away with it on Drag week. So I put one in. Now to the point I need to upgrade to a cage.

No rollbar for me. I can usually make 3 passes before I get told to load it up. I feel they don't mind the time as much as they do the mph. 139mph really set them off.

None here, just depends on the track or the event. New setup should go 9s.. still not going to mess with a bar. Maybe down the road something with swing outs, no time soon though.
