Yes, that is not a spelling error...Trackcross.
A friend of mine has been doing these for a few years now and loves it. He finally talked me into coming out and giving it a try, and I was happy I did. It's a real cheap way to beat on your car at the track. They charge about $60 and you easily can get 10 or so runs in.
Why it's called a trackcross is because they take, (in this case) the first 8 turns of a road course and turn it into a segment that is timed. Also they took the fastest turn and coned it so u couldn't use the whole width of the track, which was oddly challenging. I wish more tracks offered this, but the only one I know of is the one I went too outside of Pittsburgh, PA at Pitt Race...which is a awesome course BTW.
