To those who have heard SAPmufflers: how would you describe the sound and volume? The clips I've heard make it sound decently aggressive, but not too loud. What did you think of it and if you changed from SAP, why did you? Thanks!

That is exactly how it sounds, aggressive but not overly obnoxious. I switchto a Spintech Side Exit for the simple fact of how it looks and it sounds like a Spintech.
I had the SAP exhaust on my 05 GTO. It was slightly louder than stock with a lower rumble. But by no means is it loud. It was significantly quietier than my Corsa Sport.
My 05 GTO with Kook's Long tubes and SAPmufflers sounded really good and wasn't too loud at all (compared to other catbacks with Long tubes). It sounded just right in my opinion.
i've got the sap package w/ those mufflers.put it on before i drove with the stock stuff so it's hard to compare.one of my favorite things about the GTO is the sound.i like the look of the side exit but it leaves the slots in the rear facia open.i probably stick with the sap stuff.the sound reminds me of the scca trans am cars about 5 years back.

SAPmufflers sound good in my opinion; better than stock. I use to have them on my goat and sounded deeper in sound than stock.

Yeah that's another thing attracting me to the SAP's, they will have good sound but won't be super loud with LT's.
At first it was okay, different, but okay. Then I started to hate how they made the car sound. Restrictive, somewhat crackly...all around just not my cup of tea. In my case, the hyped up headers that not only add a distinctive amount of power, but also make the car sound "awesome" were more of a discouraging pain in the ass.
The SAPmufflers are a bit deeper and slightly louder than stock; definitely a better sound than stock. Headers woke the sound up a bit, but it was still relatively quiet unless I was WOT. However, they're probably perfect for someone who wants to remain low key with headers or just prefers a quieter exhaust that's only marginally louder than stock.
That being said, the sound was still too close to stock for my taste. I now have Spintech because I like a loud, aggressive exhaust. I wouldn't go back.

Spintech's now rock my world.
To each their own though, everyone's different.
Thanks for that video. I completely agree, SAPmufflers + LT's sound like crap. Too crackly and raspy for my tastes as well - I would think the stock mufflers would sound kinda like that too w/LT's.
Well I bought a pair of SAPmufflers off a guy here and they will be on the way, so I think I will enjoy them while the rest of my mods are limited. LT's won't be put on anytime soon, but when the time comes I will probabl be switching mufflers. Ah well, the upgrading never ends
I know it's caused by decel fuel cut off, but with stock mufflers you almost NEVER hear it. I heard it a LOT with my Spintech mufflers - so mufflers can effect how well it is heard.
listen to the clips in my sig. sapmufflers and everything else stock. add a stolenfox h-pipe and they sound even better

Thanks for all the info everyone
u guys should try the X-pipes I don't have a crackly sound .
I have Kooks headers LT, catted mids, removed resornator, replaced with X-pipe, out to the Magnaflow SAPmufflers, with dual tips.
Sound nice not over powering , it will make a loader sound when u tromp on it.. but that keep the cop from looking before you want them to..hehehehe
