I swear I need to just make a profession out of catching new cars. I was driving home from school in Auburn Hills, MI on I-75 and paced it. Proportions are spot on to the concept and sounded nice. The driver would give it some gas every once in a while. Big wheels, low slung, and retro. I'll continue to post pics as I get them since I have a decent camera phone now.
Previous cars:
- 1990 Jeep Cherokee Sport (Long term winter car)
- 1997 Pontiac Firebird 30th Anniversary
- 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula: Lots of mods, black on black, chrome firehawk wheels, and loud as hell!
Best time in the Formula: 12.4 @ 109
Life is all about ass, you're either covering it,hauling it,laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one.

Been there, done that. Not interested. I test drove a car that looked exactly like that in 1975, then I passed for a '72 GTO. Well, maybe not EXACTLY, but very close. I'm sure it'll be a much better car, though, unless they include the isolated transverse suspension.

It's sad when I live right by DCX (just south of 59) and still haven't caught one yet.
From what I've been hearing it is set to be on dealer lots sometime in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2008. 2.5 years from concept to production ain't bad at all. Too bad the camaro is taking foorrrevvverrrr.

I'd rather have them take longer... In my mind, more time to wring out the problems instead of letting the first year buyers figure out [insert design aspect example here] is crap.
So, did the executive meeting in DCX go something like:
"Okay, we need to come out with an exciting new performance coupe. Apparently they're all the rage now. I heard something about Horsepower Wars....errr.....something to that effect."
"Well, why don't we bring back the Challenger?"
"Great idea! But how will design it?"
"You seem to misunderstand what I'm saying. I'm saying we bring back the Challenger. Intact."
"Well, my butler tells me that these blokes like the new Mustang. I haven't seen one personally, but when he goes out on Tuesdays for the week's groceries, he claims they are everywhere."
"Okay...."
"Okay, so I have the old drawings of a 72 Challenger and some tracing paper. Now, who is able to color inside the lines the best?"
