I used only 6 the first time and it was perfect and i used 6.5 this time and had to let some out because it was over the line and yes I changed the oil filter both times.

Two times I have changed the oil and filter 6 worked perfect.

I just kept putting it in untill the oil ran out the valve cover although
it was sure hard pouring it in that little dipstick hole

I use about 5.5 qrts of mobile synthetic and 1 qrt of Lucas synthetic additive.

I used to work in a parts store a long time ago, and we had a customer that "topped" her oil off in the parking lot until it came out the valve cover. Kinda funny.

6 quarts and mine is at the top of the cross hatch on the dip stick. Just finished changin the oil about 15 min ago.

5.5, check it... then add 1/2 to 1 qt more but keep 1 or 1/2-bottle whatever you have left around for topping it up after a bit. We do use some oil periodically.

^+1 but I fill the filter about half way then barely get some oil on my finger and spread a thin amount on the o-ring seal.
