5K on the stutter, MPH is low because of the 3.91 gearing... I am shifting to 5th 20 ft before the end of the track, I think my top MPH was 123.21 at that track, I'll trap higher with lower gear ratio, and a sea level track.
wow just wow alex.....i dont know if it's because of the turbo or the tune but damn that thing sounds like shit....im actually scared for you and i could care less....i will try to get a vid of billygoatgruff with his 2 step asap for you ....his doesnt pop and backfire like that...like i said i wonder if its in the tune or because of the turbo..other than that i would say once you get that thing dialed in ..you will be pretty close to my taillights...lol
The cuts outs sound too deep (I assume ignition cut) You would get a smoother build with out the huge ass detonations if you could smooth the ignition cuts out a bit.
great looking car though, sounds amazing.

Definately some work to do on that setup! I trapped 124 mph naturally aspirated with 408 cubic inches.

2004 GTO bought new in February of 2004
Nitrous times w/ old setup
Best 1/4 mile: 10.28 at 131 mph (lost a cylinder on this pass)
Best 1/8 mile: 6.58 at 106.6 mph
New Setup
414 w/9.25 to 1 compression built for boost
The 2 step is made to do that. Its Synergys system, which cuts the spark to the coil packs. Car builds kick ass boost at the line when its setup right. No way the tires can hold the power.
can you show us pics of the install of the 2step, location of the box, light that comes with it, and where you put your switch? TIA
Its just a Green LED. Push one botton to arm it and the LED will blink. To arm you have it setup on a window switch on your clutch pedel. Push the clutch in and the LED will be a solid. Push the gas to the floor and let your clutch go when the light on the tree turns green.

FYI you might want to get a line lock also.
yea i know this, but i would like to see his install. where he put the box, where he installed the light, and where he installed the switch. thank you though.
i hear reports from the evo guys i know that say 2stepping is real bad for your turbos. supposedly cuts their life in half. but i guess if you have a 454 turbo gto thats not a real concern. gotta pay to play.

I on switch was by my window switchs in the center console. I put my light right on my center gauge pod.
It depends on the 2 step. Some of them have wahst called an anti-lag. it helps the turbo build even more boost at the line then a regular studder-box (2-step) My talon has a studderbox and no-lift-to-shift (NLTS,esentially its a 3-step) but doesnt have anti-lag, so it doesnt back-fire pop like that. I build about 5 psi at the line and in between shifts I have about 15 psi when I run 20 psi. My friend on the other hand, has anti-lag and he builds almost 15 psi and has about 20 or so in between shifts when he runs 25 psi. Anti-lag does kill turbos a little fast, but oh well. It sounds bad ass and helps keep the turbo spooled. Does your GTO have an option for NLTS? Its bad ass! I love mine, but may also be why Im having transmission issues with it right now. haha. With NLTS you never take your foot off the gas. You push the clutch in and the RPMs are held at a preset (mines 6000 RPM) then you grab the next gear and let out the clutch! It keeps the turbo spooled in between gears but is real hard on trannys. Its also mainly for larger turbos, Im running a clipped and ported 20G on my 2.0 4 cylinder Talon, so it can be laggy at times. Good times on your GTO, I saw it today at the ROTW and it sounds awesome! Take it easy

Yeah I got the right cam for it now. Looking for "high boost" numbers tomorrow. I ran at very low boost at the ROTW cruise.
