Anti-Radar Plate Cover or Anti Radar Paint or Jammers?

Hey all...

Might be the wrong forum...but anyone running the polycarbonate plastic anti-radar license plate cover to diffuse POP laser radar?

We've a very stealthy car; no 90 degree angles or many flat surfaces so the car reflects radar quite well EXCEPT when they use POP laser-they aim straight for your plate.

There are many methods to refract the laser including Anti Radar Paint (see...Halpern Anti Radar Paint aka HARP). Some people claim several light coats of hairspray will work as long as you don't "cloud up the plate" Sounds crazy...and hard to believe.

And then there's jammers....Illegal as heck and no 360 degree protection. Anyone got one and their experiences?

Any one have any xperience with this or ideas except "don't speed"?

This car was made for speed hence speeding is inevitable.

Thanks....Greg

POP is a type of radar and not laser. Radar has a wide dispersion and can't be aimed at a specific target like a plate, only laser can.

passive radar jammers dont work and its felony to jam any radar

the hairspray trick and plate covers work on stop light cameras only .they don't affect radar

i have read good stuff about laser jammers and are not illegal yet

A "true" radar jammer isnt possible. The ones out there are VERY unreliable and youd be lucky if they work at all. Laser jammers due work however, and are not illegal yet.

And our cars are anything but stealthy. Large sweeping lines and huge flat surfaces do not a stealth car make. There is a reasion the F-117, B-2, and F-22 look the way they do...

Dual front active laser jammers on my GTO. It's the Escort ZR3, coupled to the passport 8500x50 radar detector.

The FDA governs laser and as of today it is not illegal to jam a food product.

So far no tickets here, however I use the jammers the way they are intended, basically the warning tones go off when it detects and starts jamming the laser, and then assuming you are speeding you hit the brakes and right when you get to the speed limit you hit the Mute button which turns off the jamming. This allows the cop to clock you.

There are a bunch of idiots who post movies around the web where they drive around all day with various brands of laser jammers and never turn them off (never mute them) and do not speed. They do this just to piss off the cops. These kids need to lay off of the screwing around b/c they will make jammers illegal for this very reason.

The FCC governs radar and anything you do that is within FCC jurisdiction is a felony for the most part. Try setting up a pirate radio station and let me know how that goes for you.

Oh, jetpilot, what do you fly? Why don't you just Pop Some Chaff whenever your radar detector goes off?

Worst thing you'll get is a fine for littering.

It goes state by state, where as radar jamming is federal.
Radar detecting is also illegal in Washington DC and Virginia.

You can't beat the man, you can only hope he doesn't pay attention to you as you fly past at 20 or 30 over the posted limit. Best bet is to get one of those jammers called a "bitchy wife" who will let you know every time you do something wrong. Never failed to let me know I was speeding yet.

I'd "roll in to deploy" on you with my GAU-8/A "Avenger"

For making such a statement. But since you're a fellow Goat owner I'll let you "slide"

I flew Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II's (*Warthog's") in Gulf I and I'm going to dignify your response as to say that my AC carried both ECM Chaff and IR Flare Dispensers and Jamming pods. I was there 2/26-27/91....strafing everything in sight on Highway 80-known to you as " The Highway of Death".

If you knew anything about the topic you'd know Esterline Defense Group manufactures both IR Flare Cartridges (M206 1x1 Flare-magnesium based ) and the RR-170/AL 1x1 Chaff cartridge/ RR-180/AL Dual Chaff Cartridge as an ECM countermeasure for the A-10. EDG is the Nation's largest/only manufacturer of ECM Chaff and IR Flare countermeasures. Nuff said. Or do you want me to go into the Powerplant's; their Nacelle protection, avionics, aerodynamics..etc? I could go on ad infinitum but it'd be "casting pearls before swine" (I'm only referring to you in this thread so everyone else disregard please).

I am also rated on the GIII and GIV-so if you "rappers" need your posse moved, keep the bling-bling to a minimum as not to exceed my load capacity....LOL

So while you were watching TV I was laying down a hailstorm of Depleted Uranium rounds from my GAU-8; if you even know what that is....dropping CBU's; launching Mavericks and etc.

Keep modding your Goat and stop questioning retired USAF pilots. I suppose you'll want a copy of my DD-214? Well , you do the driving and I'll do the flying.

Peace ...and I mean Peace...Greg

BTW...to the guy who said the Goat is not stealthy....notice the airframe shape differences between the F-117 Nighthawk and the F-22A Raptor. The Raptor is not faceted, is more stealthy and has a very rounded smooth aerodynamic profile due to the fact that the computing capabilities utilized during the "Half-Blue" program to create the F-117 as compared to smooth, unfaceted appearance of the Raptor; used computers a couple orders of magnitude slower to do the computational calculations for the Nighthawk Airframe.. Plus the Raptor has "Supercruise" (supersonic flight efficient flight w/out afterburners) and "Thrust Vectoring".
