OEM w/t weight, offsets, and recommended fitments

OEM wheel & tire weighed in at 53lbs

17x8 Alloy
+48 offset
5-120 bolt pattern
P245/45R-17 95W BFGOODRICH KDWS
69.6 hub bore
12X1.5 NUT 19MM HEAD

The front of the GTO is pretty maxxed out from the factory. 8" widths up front +43 to +48 is about the most you want to do. 245-45-17, 245-40-18, 245-35-19 are suggested.

The rear has lots of room. My 1st test fit was 18x9 +43 with 285-35-18 Nice & agressive, close to suspension...wouldnt want to go much higher on the offset, nor would I go lower with this big tire. I will try some 9.5s, and perhaps a 295 tire soon, but I expect to roll the fenderlip with 295s.

Popular fitment will be 18x8+43 245-40-18 and 18x9 +45 275-35-18.

Wont find a ton of off the shelf wheels for this car. Thats your chance to set yourself apart and have a custom set of Boyd Coddingtons, Fikse, HRE, Simmons, etc etc etc, built for your new pride and joy.

Cool Rust & Wheel Wells!!!!!!!

Food or rust for thought....... The 64-67 GTO's had limited space on the rear wheel wells and take it from us old schoolers who cut, bent, rolled or hammered up the rear wells to put on some big wheels and tires they looked good only to discover a few years down the road that water/moisture rusted out the wheel wells, so be careful..... also has any one weighed the factory wheel yet?..... I spoke w/Fikse wheels and they are doing fitment measurements and will inform when done. Fikse wheels are light but also seem to be the most expensive from what I have researched to date... the Intro line looks good also. KUDOS to LS1 and safe driving to all!!!!!!!!!

That setup in the rear will fit sitting on the ground but will rub badly under any kind of accerlation, especially on the right side. That would work IF you rolled the lip, but won't if you left the lip alone.
