I was wondering the same thing. I expected there to be over 60 cars there this year after all of the hype. Maybe the CGH is scared! Seriously though, yall need to sign the !@#$ up!

Sorry man.
I'm speaking only for myself, but there's way too much drama this year surrounding this event.
I'm not driving 4.5 hours one way for that.
I enjoy coming to these to hang out, admire the other goats and their mods, and have a little FRIENDLY competition.
Somehow, this event hasn't seemed so friendly this year.
The drama surrounding this and other things on here is one of the reasons I don't visit this site very often anymore or get involved in organizing events. I'm not asking anyone to beg me to be here, or feel sorry that I'm not here. I'm just stating my reasons as a response to the thread title.
It just seems to have gotten so serious there's no fun left. Just MHO.
Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind.

To be honest, there are three reasons I haven't made the commitment yet. #1, my clutch is on the verge of going out. My last time at the track, my last run, it didn't want to come back off the floor when I got to the end of the track. #2--It's my weekend to work and I'm not sure I can get off. Our CGH track day is 2 weeks before that, also my weekend to work, and I've already used vacation time for that. And #3--I'm not even sure I'll be able to race with my injury. I don't think I'll be out of this boot thingy by then and it makes it just a tad difficult to shift right.

As for what PowerDude said... I agree with that as well. And he's not the only CGH person I've heard say something very similar. But all that's been addressed, so I don't guess it serves any purpose to open it back up. It doesn't sound like so much fun. Sorry.

Let's not get too hasty on decision making! This event is to HAVE FUN! I don't care if your car runs a 15 or a 9! This is all about a gathering of Goats and to meet people. The whole purpose of the smack talk thread was just that - talk smack! I hate the fact that this has turned into what it has. The guys in VA are really doing a great job to organize this event so we, in the Carolina's, need to show support. I'm kind of excited to see some real fast GTO's. I know mines fast BUT - a) It won't hook! b) I can't drive worth a crap! c) I don't want to break anything! d) There are plenty that are faster, with better drivers! e) BUT my stereo's LOUDER!!! - So come on fellow goat owners in the Carolina's SIGN UP!!!

There will be multiple choice test that I will be handing out at the Fall Brawl - see a thru e above!

Let me respond by saying that the entire trash talking thread is strictly for fun. It was in no way meant to offend anyone. That was made clear in the original post. We are all going to have a great time. I personally love to win but I enjoy hanging out at the track and seeing what I can personally run just as much. I am not going to beg anyone to come. Those who don't will be missing out big time. I feel like we should feel privelaged to be able to take part in such an event that so many people give time to make happen.

Lets go Carolina's. I am in Charleston now, but still associate with the CVGTO's who organize this more or less. I will be driving up the Friday before if anyone is interested in getting a group together. I will be going to Lake Anna, but right by Petersburg.

We are a group of cars from NC that are serious about horsepower, track times, and having a blast. We were referred to as a "rogue group" hence the name Carolina Rogue Goats.

The drama is abut 3 seconds faster than me. I went last year and had a ball racing with a fellow stocker. I will be there again this year, bringing up the rear.

I would hate to see this event fail because of some internet boasting. The offended and the offenders need to remember that is hard to tell if someone is joking on the net.

Some people just love drama. If they don't have enough of it they will create it! With that said my clutch is here and now I am going to kick all your asses at the brawl!

J/k I will be lucky if I get into the 12's with my no driving ass!

I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun for those that go. Didn't mean to imply it wouldn't be. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to organize an event, and you want folks to show up. Just stating my own reasons for not being enthusiastic about coming.

If I come, should I come as a member of the CGH, or do I need to apply for membership in the Rogue Goats?

The only way you can come as a Rogue Goat is:

You must grow a beard (or wear those funny glasses with the mustache)
Not take a shower for two weeks prior to the event
On Nov 3rd drink 1 case of Miller Lite and 15 shots of Jaegermeister
and last but not least want to have FUN!

I really hope some people acting like kids does not deter people from coming. Why can people not let others in their sand box? This was great last year and will be great again. What do you have to lose. Just drive and have fun....most of the people I met were laid back and laughing the entire time. Lets keep if fun..
