EVOX mates with Mustang, or my day at the FF4 car casting call.

I've had a number of my cars used in movies and music videos in the past(Gone in 60 Seconds, Audioslave, etc). So, when a casting call went out for the upcoming Fast and the Furious 4, I sent in a couple pics. My cars, along with about another 100 or so, were selected(out of thousands , according to the production assistant).

We were asked to meet at Universal Studios so that the director could view the cars in person. They video your cars and you, and will contact you at a later date if they need your car.

I knew the selection of cars was going to run the gamut from cool to your worst riced out nightmares. I wasn't disappointed. There were Vipers, Skylines, NSXs, Mustangs, Corvettes, Subies, EVOs, new and old Chargers, a few examples of vintage muscle and riced out Hondas and Scions that were nearly unrecognizable.

I have never seen so many goofy mods, lambo doors, hoods and trunks, hissing airbags and distortion laden audio systems in my life. One car had a see through, green plexi hood! There were Donks, Dinks, Ballers, Drifters and other assorted flotsam wandering about the lot. Those of us with "normal" cars, huddled together like Conestoga Wagons fending off an Indian attack.

Unfortunately, my camera battery gave up the ghost-or just refused to record any more monstrosities, so I was only able capture these gems for your viewing pleasure.

Here are a few of the "normal" rides-not counting that Charger.

For whatever reason, I like the front of the EVOstang, though none of the rest of it.

I don't care what direction your trunk opens, you will never be "balla" in a Corolla.

I have HUGE respect for the new GTR because its an insanely fast car but i love the R34. I really hope Canada keeps the 15yr Import law so i can import an R34 in 2014. R32 GTR's can be had for about 10-15k Canadian right now.

Are you serious? Is there a supply of them....I've always wanted an R32 or R33.....I'd have a po box in canada, license it, buy it, register it etc and drive it back into the states....lol.

The new GTR....I don't really like the looks of it, but you can't deny the performance. The R34 is HAWT....myself I have a weird obsession for 80s stuff so I love the R32 besides its the lightest of the big three (32 33 34)

Yup,

^This importer has a ton of Skylines.

Check out http://www.gtrcanada.com/main/ if you want more info. If you want one in Canada check out GTR Canada as well, the forum has everything you need to know about owning a GTR.

I hear ya. They weren't interested in my GTO either. Probably because very few people know what they are-still.

That's the problem with these movies... they want eye-candy and NOT performance.

I like that Mustang front end as well. The rear made me want to puke a bit.

Plus +1 for the R34!

There is a NC registered R32 around my area. In fact, there are 3 that I know of in NC that are tagged and inspected to be on the road.

I'd seriously consider taking the trip, talking to them, checking out the cars, and I'm already looking into the technicalities. I don't think an R32 would be that impossible to bring over, but I may end up having to apply for a car dealership license or something and just put dealer tags on the skyline.

R32 is one of my childhood fantasy cars....I couldn't imagine even driving/owning one.

If I looked like that mustang I'd be sad too.

The see through hood is kinda cool, but not what's under it. Need a shaking V8 to display.

Good gawd, those are some fugly cars! Remember "Toy Story" where that evil kid Sid took toys and and mutated them. That's what all those cars look like.
I am not surprised that they don't your GTO. I bet they'll want that corolla with side opening trunk. That says a lot about how retard the movie producers are.
Around here. i see a lot of those ricer cars with all the plastic crap. The problem is that the plastic, combined with lowering springs results in banged up looking cars. Every time I see one, those air dams are all F&cked up looking.
I bet those ricers in socal either never drive their cars, or replace plastic on them on a regular basis.
Hey, do you have a picture of your GTO?

Damn, that's a fine looking car. Star placement of a GTO in one movie would do wonders for the resale value.

Depends on a number of factors. How exotic is the car, how bad do they need your car, how long do they need it and if it is driven or parked.

When they have used my "exotics"(Ferraris, Viper, etc) it is usually somewhere between 1200 and 2500. per day of shooting-with NO driving. Lesser cars may only receive a few hundred dollars. If they are driven or have a big scene, price goes up quite a bit. Sometimes the studio will just offer to purchase the car.
