I agree- these things love to rev and my bottom end can handle it . I don't usually bring it all the way up, but since I was only doing a 3rd gear pull in that vid, I figured I'd hold run it out. I think I have the limiter at 7200 in 1st, 7000 in 2nd and 6900 from there up. I'll have to look at my tune again lol. I usually end up winding first out since it just revs so quick and spins anyway, the other gears I usually shift at 6400 or so.
Thanks . It needs some TLC, but the price was right and it is pretty well optioned (Z51 too )

Nah, been a member there a while, just not a big fan overall. I just browse it for info and may ask the occasional question. '
That board has a bigger assortment of "I'm rich, I bought it for full price, you're a pauper- don't talk to me, I just pay someone to do all my work." vs. "yo, I just bout my 1st vet for cheap- I want 2 kno what 2 do 2 make it faster. Also, n e 1 runnin 24"s yet?" than we do here lol.

Do you still have the Porsche? And I have been thinking about doing the same thing... I want a vette so bad I'm almost willing to snatch an old ladies purse... But one thing that makes me reluctant Joe is the fact that there are far less GTO's than there are vette's and it would be nice to leave my 1yr old son a cool rare car what do you think? With your new baby on the way, I know you have considered that unless you are having a girl.

Yes, the Porsche is still waiting on some finishing touches from the repaint and assembly needs to be finished.
I agree- looking for Vettes- there were over 500 within a 500 mile radius on auto trader- there were maybe 20 GTO's when I was searching. I think the rareness of the GTO makes it cool as hell in comparison, however, after driving the two- there is no comparison . The good thing is around here, the only Vettes I see are C4's and people look at them like they are friggin Ferraris lol- NE PA SUCKS when it comes to cars , so I am not going to pass many C6's at all here. In VA where I picked it up, it was just another Vette on the road- at least here, it is a rarity.
I thought about holding the GTO for my kid, but the honest truth is I NEVER keep a car that long, so I don't know if I would be able to anyway. I honestly did plan on keeping the GTO a while, but things just worked out differently. Right now, I think it would be cool to by a stock, low mileage one in a couple of years and hold on to it- hell, maybe even a new one off a lot somewhere lol, but the truth is, in a couple of years I'll probably just look at it as a niche car that ran it's course with me- we'll see though.
Oh yeah- we'll know in 2 weeks if it is a boy or girl .
