Some new pictures of the 505As on Spice

The wheels need a wash and are a bit hazy from the storms we had around here...
Oh and I need to find a new picture location...

Looks great, now all you need is amber delete and splitter!
I am biased towards what looks good on SRM though!

looking damn good purple!

You should look into the holden side repeaters - they would look great on your SRM!

Thanks guys
Yes, this is the car that I drive everywhere, aka the DD.
Buckner - I've though about both of those, and amber deletes could be done at any time and look pretty good. I might tint the rears 20 or 30% and get the amber deletes for the front. A splitter looks really good, but I dont really want to drill holes, and it is obvious that it is aftermarket. As you can see, everything on the car is subtle and could pass off as factory - I had a guy with a GTO ask me if my wheels were an Option from Pontiac at Walgreens lol

Macro - It is a possibility, but not sure if its worth the trouble for getting them from overseas and getting them wired up and put on. I also like watching people's facial expressions as they spell out "GTO...6.0 Litre".

At first, I thought #4 was snow and ice, and I was wondering how the hell that happened.

Your car looks really nice, man.

Lol, yea. Its one of my less foamy foam gun concoctions - 1 part duragloss 901, 1 part optimum no-rinse, 1/2 part Megs UQD .When I dont feel like doing a wash, I just foam, rinse, and go for an extra-fast drive

Haha, but I get to drive my car year around
And Josh isnt competition, he is more of an inspiration. His car and especially his photos look much better than mine. Thanks for the compliments!

Haha, I don't think there is any competition, or if there is it's friendly. I think I probably like and admire purple's GTO just as much as he does mine. I like the approach he's taking (keeping it more like what the factory would have offered as opposed to what I've done with the splitter, bigger lips, etc). They're VERY similar, but also very different in the details. For some people they may like my look better, while some like his look better. But I think anyone can agree, SRM + polished 505As is a winning combination.

In a way I almost feel like his GTO is my GTO's little brother since I was the first to go Spice Red with 505As, and him and I talked a lot through PM trying to iron out just the direction he wanted to go with his. I'm just glad he finally decided on a set of wheels, that he's happy with them, and the total package is coming together for him.

Rake, as in suspension and not wheel stagger? I actually have the "FWD Stagger" - my stock rear springs are sagging and are actually making the rear lower than the front I am glad that I was able to use my awesome point and shoot photography skills to kid this lol

Haha, I could drive mine year round, but I'm too much of a lazy ass to keep up with the maintenance of driving it day to day. LOL Plus I'm trying to keep the miles down so thats a big factor too. I applaud you for having the diligence to daily drive the setup you have because I know how much work it is keeping it look good. I hate how Spice looks so washed out and dull when it's dirty, and how funky the polished wheels get when they get rained on. It's tough keeping it looking good but the results are stellar so just keep using that as motivation, stay on top of it, and it won't be that bad. Just gotta get into that rhythm ya know.

With the way gas is never. I'd spend like $400 just to get down there and back! Haha.

Seriously though, I very well may head down that way next summer. I've been dying to go back to Island of Adventure so we'll see.

Hehe, I actually havent washed the CCWs in over a week and we had bad thunderstorms this weekend. Seems like the Duragloss 105 I applied is doing its job, because I just washed one of the wheels with Optimun No-rinse and it came out almost as shiny as the day I got them. I'd really recommend Optimum No-Rinse for quick washing. There is no marring with proper technique and no hose or conventional soap to deal with. I use it with a meg's cotton/mf mitt on the paint and grout sponge on the wheels (Lots of testing of GSs on autopia, and no marring...).

Yeah, Island of Adventure kicks serious ass. We even had annual tickets at one point, but only ended up going like 3 times lol

Oh, oh... also get Duragloss 501, 105, and Aquawax - they work nice on the wheels and look pretty nice on SRM with amazing durability. AW is one of two toppers that I use after a wash. All this and more (lemme know if you need suggestions for anything) can be bought from autogeek.net.
