My Last Track Days at TWS

And sadly it probably will be a while since I'm moving over seas for work for 1-3 years. Honest guys... I sorta depressed about it!!! You know the saying: Track is Crack? And I'm losing my fix as I've just now gotten to know that place REALLY WELL and Sunday I moved up to Blue Solo. No I'm still not super fast but, I'm not exactly slow either. Taking a stop watch to my vids I found several laps at 2:16 (yeah, really fast guys are at the 2:00 min mark around TWS, but were talking MUCH more car and experience than me!).

But anyhoo, it was a great weekend. Good people down there at the track in College Station.

Car ran great. I've got what amounts to about 90% Pedders Track II Zero drop, with HTKS Sways - middle up front, med-firm back, and other assorted stuff. Harrop Brakes W/ Porterfield R4 pads, and running on Falken RT-615's. Just minor bolt ons for power. I gotta say, the car felt so natural. Yes its still about 4000 lbs but in a turn I was able to correct attitude quite easily. It still will understeer a bit at turn in when pushed, but is very neutral then on. Roll on throttle too hard and it'll oversteer the exit easily. Overall, I think this setup won't get you in trouble easily, but you can still move pretty quick (fathoms faster than stock). Quite happy with my mods. To do it again, I might have done Koni's for adjustability, or maybe a full on coilover? Lowered?

Here's a in car vid and pass by on the banking. Note to the critics: can't tell much with the angle, but yeah I did start shifting, lol! Ok, so on my last run its only 4 times each lap, but that's what a 400% increase, hehe. Anyways, I feel I've got a real good feeling on the line now. Just need to push it a little more (and down shift a little more maybe...) and I might shave another 3-5 sec or so off a lap.

Still, damn is this fun.... Ok, now I'm back to being depressed with leaving the country for work. But there are lots of hot blondes where I'm going and Germany is just a little south

Nice runs. I really like TWS my best laptime to date is a 2:01.34

Honestly when it comes to track brake pads, I only run carbotech xp12's. These are hands down the best pads you can buy period. 0 fade, they bite hard, and cool quickly.

Give them a shot, you'll never regret it.
