installed SJM line lock for 05-06 GTOs

well i installed the biondo style SJM line lock specifically for the 05-06 GTOs. install was easy and straight forward. the instructions were pretty detailed as well with pictures and a wiring schematic to help.

the solenoid and lines fit a little tighter than i expected and i had to move the abs control module out of the way to drill a hole for one of the solenoid hold downs. other than that it went smooth.

for the wiring i ran the wire through the grommet by the clutch pedal and under all of the suade up to the switches. i removed the console to drill the holes. that made for a clean job... no shavings inside the car. one note. i originally wanted the momentary switch just behind the window switches. bad idea. numb nuts me neglected to look under the console to see that the switch assy is that whole piece there. so now i have a starter hole there for no reason

the rest went smoothly. here are a few piks that i took of the solenoid and switch setup. *note the hole in the window switch piece* i might replace that with this though if i dont just buy a new one all together.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__GTO-Console-Badges-2005-ONLY-6-speed_W0QQitemZ250258996515QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20Acc essoriesQQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20Ac cessoriesQQddiZ2811QQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem250258996515&

i wanted all of the switches kind of close together but out of the way but not uncomfortable to hold the momentary button. i think i got a clean setup.

then of course i couldnt put up a line lock review without putting up a video of it in action.

so... what do you guys think???

Just FYI: You can disasemble the window switch panel to run the wires thorugh pretty easily Just unclip and unscrew the assembly and you can pass the wires through by drilling another hole underneath and routing the wires. I ram the control knob for my Harman-Kardon Drive+Play through the window switch with no problems doing this.

i tried to unclip the stupid thing but no dice and i didnt want to break it so i moved on. i know it comes out but it looked like it would take like 10 mini flat head screwdrivers and 10 people to do it haha

Nice install....

The kit was developed on my car, and I do love it, and get lots of use from it... haha

Heres my setup (I elected for the Hurst Style Noid because it matched the car better)

Your switch setup is very similar to mine, Except I used the OEM Holden blackout button for main arming switch.

thats what i was looking for for my momentary switch. i want to be able to plug it in and hold a long wire so i can shift. i would probably need a foot and a half wire to reach. where did tou get that from???

just look at the wiring harnesses under your console directly under where my switches are mounted. i tapped into the white one. just hook up the battery and use a test light... if i remember correctly it was a yellow wire with a stripe (brown or red??) you should have the in line connectors too (where it taps a wire and connects your power wire in the line) then i did the same with the ground wire... used the same harness. again there should only be 2 big wiring harnesses down there. one is white and one is blue... if i remember correctly.

sorry i cant get on aim right now im at work but i can help you through here.
