He's whooping a "race car" in that 3rd run! I thought the GT500's crank(or bottom end) was not forged like the 03-04 Cobra's
You were misinformed. Steel crank, forged rods, forged pistons. The rods in the GT500 are weaker than the Manley rods that came in the 4.6 Cobras, but as evidenced by the many GT500's running 700+ rwhp, the engine is a stout unit right forom the factory. The key is not to spin it more than 6200rpm.

OK. So the 03-04 Cobra crank is Forged..correct? I guess you can get the same #'s out of the GT500 as the 03-04 Cobra's because of the added displacement. Man that thing is sick.
If I'm not mistaken that car and company were in Hot Rod a while back. That car was bad then, now it's just plain nasty!!! I do believe he used to pick his kids up from school in it.
