Question A4 Tranny cooler guys step in

Hey guys,

Just more searching for the build....Next is the Cam install (FTI streetsweeper cam kit), stall converter (vig. single disk 2800), and tranny cooler. Which cooler are you running and why?

Keep in mind this build is being done/prepped for FI down the road, maggie.

Thanks,
Bryan

I am running a Derale cooler with fan. Part # 13700 got it from Jegs with a thero switch that turns the fans on and off. Installed mine with new steel braided line and AN fitting without going to the radiator. If you do a search I have pictures in here some place...

I have some B&M, got it for cheap.

works just fine. they'll all work ok....a cooler isn't exactly the most technologically advanced part, they're all pretty much the same.

but if I could do it again, I'd get one w/the small fan on it. especially if you live somewhere hot and you have to do lots of heavy traffic driving. Had a small situation w/traffic and summer in texas

I'm running the B&M cooler. Here's a link to some pics and a parts list from my install. Look in post's 9 & 15.

I don't run one at all. My temps stay about the same as coolant...maybe a tad hotter. But that's just me...I am going to be using one when I do my TH400 swap, only because it came with the cooler though.

Oh and this is a 427 stroker with 5500ish stall.

I have one on mine here is the link. I needed to fab some bracket hangers for it since it is a larger cooler then most run.

http://www.jegs.com/i/B%26M/130/70274/10002/-1

My temps stay at about 130-140 and stop and go traffic they get as hot as 160.
