For Sale 4l60e Tranny & Protorque Converter & More

I'd prefer not to ship these items so I'm posting this in the Northeast section for local sales only.

I have up for sale the trusty, low mileage (only 16k miles young) 4L60E Automatic overdrive transmission]out of my original owner 2004 GTO in great working order.
Trans fluid and screen were changed twice a year and the fluid levels have always been maintained showing a cherry red color.
Has the well known and proven TransGo Performance shift kit installed along with Eric Schertz’s (from Dynotech Performance) special secret tweaks. 3 different firmness levels, currently set on Level 2 delivering very solid shifts.
Transmission has made many 10 second passes and even more low 11 second passes powered by my naturally aspirated heads & cam LS1 set up and has been spot on reliable for me since day one.
This transmission will work in all 2004-2006 Pontiac GTOs and should also be compatable in the 1998-2002 Camaros/Firebirds with the 5.7L V8 LS1 engine as well.
Local pick up only.
$550.00

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Selling my ProTorque 2800 stall street/strip torque converter made for the GM 4L60E/4L65E transmissions.
This is a very efficient unit, perfect for the drag strip as well as for daily driving duty.
Really don’t want to part with it but I need the cash right now.
This converter was developed after numerous discussions between Eric Schertz at Dynotech Performance and Joe Rivera at Pro Torque and was spec'd specifically for my particular application.
It truly is a one of a kind converter and is a bit of a freak in how it has performed so well in my my LS1 GTO for the last few years.
I was actually able to stall it up to 2700rpm on the footbrake with drag radials which worked quite well for me because my set up works best with 2500rpm launches. Best sixty foot was a 1.54 and the car has seen multiple 10 second passes @ 125mph.
Paid $875.00
$450.00 or best offer and will go with a package deal if trans and converter are sold together.
Local pick up only.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hoosier 225-50R-15 drag radials. These awesome tires have only 7 passes on them.
These are the best drag radial out there right now and are a perfect tire for anyone that has 3.46 gears and is looking to give the car a theoretically lower (numerically higher) overall rear gear ratio such as a 3.91 allowing for more RPMs at the traps, as much as 400 to 500 rpm which can do wonders for both ET and MPH.
Asking $100
Local pick up only.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BMR Lightweight Skidplate like new.
From the BMR website:
Remove 10 pounds from the nose of your car with a BMR aluminum skid guard. Laser cut and CNC formed from .160" aluminum, our guard weighs 5.75 pounds compared to 15 pounds for the stock steel guard. Easy 15 minute installation. A very nice useful piece also Have box/Packing
$100.00
Local pick up preferred. SOLD

Yes they will work on any 8-9 rim,What is cool with these because there shorter in height it gives you a something very close to a 3.91 probably closer to a 4.10 gear from a stock 3.42, So if anyone is thinking about it and have stock gears this tire should pick you up a min of 1 1/2 -2 tenths ET in the 1/4, I had no problem hooking with them either.

There are ways to make it work, some sort of adaptors and maybe a bell housing change and it's been done...I'm not sure how the PCM/electronics end of it is going to work though (depends on the vehicle it's going into and it's computer) but people have done it.

History On My Protorque 2800 Converter

I want to give some History/details on the Protorque. This ran circles around the vig 3600 I tried in late 2007(wanted to see with the vig if I could do better, I was unable to),When putting the SAME Protorque 2800 back in my car 2 days later and then going to the track the next weekend There was a huge increase in 1/4 Mile ET and on the big end over a 4 MPH gain. This converter is super efficient. The test was done within 1 week of each other with very similar conditions,Same track same temps,no other changes.
I think I can dig up the slips if anyone needs to take a look. I also think there are few local's that remember me going through all this to.

Side Note: I also had Joe from Protorque build me another one to see about getting a better 60 ft in Spring of 2008, Unfortunately That converter didn't work as good either had about the same 60 ft but not as efficient up top & sent it back since it was an experiment & property of Protorque's.

Shipping to Pittsburgh would be roughly $35.00-$40.00 for both tires....a mere $140.00 delivered to your door for practically brand new Hoosier DRs is a killer deal.

And that proven 10 second trans and converter combo is a steal as well.

Question

Bruce, those tires still aren't sold at that price?
I'm shocked, all the prices are great but those tires are a total deal!

What's going on with it?
I will be at Etown are you gonna be there,? I still say the Pro torque converter I l have will get you a better ET then your current Vig & or probably 2 MPh. Ill even put money on it I had a 3600 Vig in there at one point. Anyway if you decide you want the trans and possibly want to try the converter I will give you a great price. they don't have to both go together, Whatever you want to do .
