Are you not considering any change to Heads?

Generally speaking, thought these were distinct and separate groups or classes:
1. Cam only............................ any type of change or upgrade
2. Heads only.......................... any type of change or upgrade
3. Cam/Heads only................... any type of change or upgrade
4. Cam/Heads/Forged Bottom..... any type of change or upgrade.

Why try so hard to prove your e-stick is bigger than someone else's? Damn just mod your car and have fun with it. Never understood trying to beat a phantom record on a forum. When I get my car back together I'm going after the cam only record!

As far as most places are concerned when it comes to forum lists "cam only" means that the cam has been changed on an otherwise stock motor. Rebuilding it constitutes a non stock motor at that point.

Ehh doesnt really matter anyhow.

i dont really care if im accepted on the list or not. If i do break the record then ill be happy knowing i went that fast with stock heads and i built it literally from the ground up right next to my computer. 110% built by me. No speed shop no nothing. As far as im concerned, thats reward enough. I dont need to be put on a list to show my success

No its a shitty statement because you are instantly doubting the driver's ability.

The right setup has nothing to do with that, I mean, the right cam, clutch, gears, tires, bolt-ons tuning.

The original statement is far from the truth. The fastest N/A LSx car is a stick. What prevents the fastest GTO Cam only from being a stick? Nothing except driver skill. I firmly belive that if you put a auto in my car it will ET no better then if it was me shifting it, and will MPH worse.

If the guy gets enough practince, sets his car up right, he can.

Has nothing to do with doubting his ability-it is what is is-and there is not an n/a M6 that is close to a "record".

A "hardon" for Atco? No just jealous-because I saw what going from +500 to -400 did for my et (knocked .40 off my previous best) it make me pissed off I have never had the opportunity to run in -1500 to -2000 da.

Yea well that may be true in 99% of the cases but I disagree with your statement because I have seen WS6 drive many times he is that 1% of drivers, He drives the living shit out of his M6 Trans am .... He just sux at auto's...LOL

It's actually not a plain and simple fact. Not in all cases at least.
Only at a certain point does it become true that an automatic will surpass a manual.
There is a manual Viper running high 7s in the 1/4 mile and manual F-bodies running in the 8s.
I would say that down into the low 10s, even the high 9s, correctly driven and with the proper parts/equipment, a manual trans will beat an otherwise identical automatic car almost every time.
But yes, the most consistent have always been and will likely always be automatics.
