Question Street Wars @ Raceway Pk Saturday March 7th

Anyone going to this? I know there are 5 people that still don't have there car ready,
Just wondering if anyone else intends on going to race there car, I know there will be oil spills galore but just getting out and running for the 1st time in 2009 with a roll bar will be fun as hell!
Hope to see a few goats.
Looks like just cloudy sky's for Saturday and highs in the 60's

Lets kick some Rice Burner ass

I was actually thinking about it. It would be my first time ever driving down a track. I'd probably run a 15 flat with my luck.

I would like to go but, we just started the car today in about 4 or 5 months. Now it just needs a good once over and a tune.

Shoveled out the Goat last night finally.

Me & Jr will be there. He put on new tires yesterday to get some grip & new Franky springs last week.

Hope they have some fuel on hand - since I am going up super light this time.

See ya there.

Probably too early (planning around 8:30, they say gates are opening at 10? Yeah right.), but I don't feel like sitting behind a smurfton of cars.

Definitely. Either that or down by the watch tower area near the end of the track.

I had a blast today, regardless of all the crappy imports.

Hanging out is too much fun to avoid.

A shame I got taken out by that sandbagging scumbag guy in the Chevelle. 12.6 at 90mph. Yeah. Ok.

I f'ing hate sandbaggers with a passion.

Won 2 rounds today. Car launches so, so nice with the Mickey T's.

Bruce, your car was insane today. Loved watching it zip down the track.

We had a great time with the guys that came out.

Had a blast.

IDK if you heard, but I know Farley lost in the finals, at least. I let out a big "thank God" when I heard it.

While I failed - yep red lighted in the first round. Live by the light - die by the light!

But I had a great seat to watch Jr go rounds - when you are a dad - nothing can be more exciting.

The rest of the crew gave Etown a show. Bruce & Devin those cars were on a rails- incredible!

While none of us made it to the finals. You guys took down a lot of imports & domestics before leaving.

Plus we all advanced the GONE name by helping out other racers - isn't that what racing is all about?

I was proud to be with you guys - well done!

Steve

Edited: I am drinking heavily tonight - can't believe how long we were there with the oil downs and I have a serious case of sunburn - in March you gotta be kidding me.
