Hey, nubs. Do yourselves a favor, and follow these steps to knowledge:
1: Find Konnie The Goat. Shouldn't be hard, he's a mod.
2: Click his name, click view public profile, and click view all threads started by Konnie.
3: Read.
Also wanted to mention I blew the doors off of a new callaway corvette on the hwy. Looked up the specs and it's a blown LS3 with 580hp/510lbs. Came from behind and put about 3 cars on him when I let off around 140ish. The look on his face was priceless! His dad was with him following in a Salleen. I think he couldn't believe his eyes. So I proceeded to put 5 cars on him from an even start to 140ish. The suck factor is that I didn't have a camera like Bill has. I have got to get one.
Contest was based on final numbers. Don't worry though...those aren't final just yet.
Plan to go back to the dyno again in a week or so. Whoever wins for the final #s gets the pizza
You didn't say that. Quoted from your original thread:
All you have to do to win is be the closest to my dyno numbers.
You didn't say final #'s, you didn't say catback off, you didn't say removing belt, you didn't say removing filter, etc so I took it to mean car as driven that day-so I guessed and was dead on.
You have a point...However, the still aren't what the car will do yet. That was just with 100 miles on the motor. If I go back with no changes and it still puts down that power you win. If it does more you don't. The motor was still breaking in on the dyno.

Nor is it what the motor will do with a 100 shot on it. What's your point?
Wheres my pizza?
Just bustin your balls really. FWIW I have been good at this sort of thing. One time a shop did something like this and gave away a clutch package which I ended up winning LOL.

Pretty sure the Callaway's are flywheel rated. Impressive kill nonetheless.
Very impressive sounds like you have a winner with your set up Lighten here up a bit front Passenger seat 65-70 pounds back rear I think is 30 lbs it would be cool AS HELL if u can get close to that 130 mph N/A. I just added weight back into my car about 110-120 + pounds between my new roll bar, harneses and passenger seat.
Thanks. I'm going for it next time at the track. I'm pulling the seats and putting skinnies on. May even pull the floor matts hahaha.
I think the car has it if the weather is nice the day I run. Friend with a C6 traps 130 with his seats removed with H/C/I/Gears/Every bolt on you can do. So I wanna see how close I can get to that with a heavy GTO The car has more miles on it now as well. So hopefully with the miles and changing to synthetic oil I can pick up a few ponies. I suspect the volant intake filter is restrictive and was thinking about trying to find a k&n filter that will fit. Just not sure yet.
EDIT: How the hell you trap 126 with a 346????? DA in the neg that day? How much whp that thing put down?

To the flywheel its in the low 500 range. The air was great that day with a DA of -1100-1140 Range. I had a driver mod at the wheel,Me being a very big guy I trapped 125 MPH & a 1.460 60ft with same stock bottom end from the factory 346.
I plan to see 510 anyways with a new aif filter, synthetic oil and more miles on the motor next sat Not sure how much of that gain is from taking the lid off the intake box or the filter removal itself. I've been driving around with the lid off. But my filter looks pretty dirty so I think I can get some more out of it. I had electric cutouts but I sent them back because I didn't think they would help with a catless dual magnaflow.
Your cam and heads are bigger than mine! Which probably accounts for my better tq.
Same here. Broke it in with 15w40. Just put in 10w40 synthetic last night. I think my rings are pretty tight, atleast that's what I asked for. I said I wanted an NA motor. Don't plan on running the bottle. If I ever do it will be a year or so away and I won't run more than a 100.
couple of questions:
-while breaking in the motor, at what intervals did you do oil changes?
-how many miles on the engine before you switched to synthetic?
-how many miles before you dyno'd it the 1st time?
-lastly, what's your mpg on the street? did it improve after a tune and/or after you got more miles on the engine?.........my gas mileage sucks..........lol.........not that i drive the car enough to really give a shit, just curious.

OP, I hope you get lucky and your shit runs when you get it back together...good luck.

We did after the first 90 minutes drive time, and then should probably do after your dyno tune.

5000 was what we were told

You will be fine Friday, George had a few hundred on his

His did improve after the tune, but I guessing you are having fun hitting the gas, which may explain your lower MPG
Gregg, please see my comments lol

Thanks. I've since ran 10.91@125 in hotter weather and look for 10.80s next time at the track
I had 50 miles on the motor before I changed the oil and tuned it on the dyno. I changed it again at 500, 1000, 1500 and then went to synthetic at 2000. Mpg is the same as it was stock pretty much.
So far the only issue I've had with the bottom end is that that rear main seal is leaking. They told me to put a catch can and breather filter on the car. I did that and I'm going outside to change the oil now and I'll see if it helps. Not sure if the seal is their fault or not. But the motor only has 270 miles on it.
My VA Speed 402 has a rear main leak as well. Did the breather help?
BTW - great build and even better track numbers congrats!

Breather didn't do anything. I replaced it twice before it stopped leaking.
Go to the dealer and get the seal from them. Trust me.
Then take off the housing gasket. Put a little silicone around the crank plug. Silicon the bottom of the housing along the oil pan. Put the seal in as far as it will go in. Tap it in with a soft object if needed. Don't put any oil on the seal when you put it in. Tighten the bottom of the "A" housing first. Then work your way up tightening the rest of them. That worked for me. Finally no more leaks.
