NA LS1 bolt-on record BROKEN!!!!! Element is the new record holder

It has just been confirmed by phone Element has broken the LS1 bolt-on record that has been held by LS1 Melissa

The car is currently at the track and so far has turned the following

1st pass 11.90

2nd pass 11.87

Further details and proof will be given by the element.

Congrats on the achievement and thank you for letting me be a part of this project.

later passes have now confirmed a personal best of 11.75!!

good job on the new record! i knew it was coming.

a new bar has been set. its good to see all the hard work pay off

nice work from jeff at rush racing, it couldnt of been done without ya!

element will be posting shortly with mods and slips etc...

Wow that's movin', those traps do seem a bit low for the ET but 11.75 is truly haulin' for a stock internals LS1 (or even an LS2) GTO regardless, congrats.

Congrats on the runs,simple impressive.

His Trap's areant all that low,hell look at his 60',its getting it done early.
we used to have a car that went 11.8's @106 but it did all the heavy lifting in the first 1/8 and wheezed its way from the 1/8 to 1/4.

Whether the new "Bolt-On" record is legit or not is insignificant to me per se ........... others can draw their own conclusions based on the various quotes, and lack of information in some cases.

Congrats very very impressive, we knew someone would take the record eventually we did not except to have it for as long as we did, nice to show all the hard works pay off at the end.

Funny I changed my sig last week from saying “still the only 11 sec bolt on ls1” I had a felling someone else was going to do it with the way the E/T’s have been getting lower and lower these days

Well Ed you knew they would step out of the woodwork when you posted this. The first of many I'm sure. Congrats again Ed! Hopefully you'll have another couple of good runs next Saturday when we all meet up.

Thanks everyone for all the support for me accomplishing this. This was not easily obtained, and im sure camaroal can vouch for this.

The car was ran at the track with simililar form compared to LS1Mellisa, All seats, skid plate, gas brace, tow brace were all removed.

The car was modded as follows..

LPE CAI
85mm MAF
Pacesetter LTs
SLP Poo mouth catback
Plug wires

4400 stall

To answer some of your questions, I got home from the track and was tired cause i worked the day before and had to work early this morning.

As far as a cam goes, i was speaking to another member that has a full weight vehicle that has a cam and no suspension.

In regards to LS1 mellisa's car, Her intial .4 gain with heads and cam was low but they obviously have that figured out.

In further regards, I was getting discouraged with my car and could not figure out how she MPHed so high. In further investigation of my vehicle of low MPH, A faulty converter was the main attribute to this problem.

Other questions you have, i did not build the vehicle and do not know the technicalities. The vehicle was built at Rush Racing, and you can contact HeavyHitter, If you want to know the intimate details.

Congrats Ed. Knew you were going to break that record this season and you did it so early. Might as well try and beat your own record now. Oh course there is going to be the doubters, but let them spend countless time looking up posts to try and disprove something that actually happened instead of just saying a simple good job. There can be very valid or legit reasons why things might seem doubtful or out of reach..... more often than not, best to go directly to the horse for clarification before expressing any disseminating doubts..... better to known for sure, than assume.

After all, you did accomplish what you believed was not possible by another...... my conclusion was simply based on various quotes, and insufficient info..... rather than personal feelings.

Thanks....... appreciate the info provided and even more so, your civil response and understanding......... getting there was no easy task Im sure. You set your Goal and accomplished it.

Yeah Ed! Ed really is a stand up guy, and has a big crowd behind him. we have all cruised with him, watched his car transform, and the guys that do come to the track have all seen what ed and his gto are capable of. ed, you the man! now im going to stop swinging on your nuts, nate is getting jealous.
