I'm shooting for the 10th of July having them all shipped.
Our machine shop got way behind but were starting to get caught up now.
Thanks
Chris
Have you sold them all? Is this still the only run that you're making?
I would like different diameter halfshafts but I'm not ready to purchase yet. I'll need them though after a mini-tub and drag radials that's next on my list
I would prefer you put the larger shaft on the passenger side if your running one of our normal size 300m shafts on the drivers side.
It probably wouldnt matter since I designed in a twist section.
The smaller diameter shafts will twist on the launch allowing it to absorb alot of the shock.
The larger diameter shafts will transmit more of the load directly into the splines applying more stress right at the splines.
You have to remember, the large diameter shaft is to control wheel and not to provide a stronger shaft.
The new Camaro's are the same way, large shaft on the passenger side, smaller on the drivers side.

I need to take a look at what I have in production right now. I'll start another run asap as I can tell these are going to be a very popular item
Here are some axles (small and large diameter) getting ready to get splined.
Nice shafts...

Hey Chris did Kurt ever get ahold of you?
I was going to try and get that shipped to you Friday but ran out of time, will try to get it out Monday or Tuesday unless I just bring it to you.

BTW that was pretty
No, he did not.
Just let me know what you plan to do and we'll get it worked out.
I have 6 large diameter shafts coming out of machining this week. After that it's off to heat treat and corrosion coating (powder coat for some).
I have more in work as we speak.
Looks like I'll have to slide the date a bit.
Middle of the month looks more promising.
The first 6 shafts will be out of the machine shop this week but then they have to get heat treated and coated.
I have more starting in the machine shop for those of you looking to get in on the next batch.
I'll be running a stock half shaft with the larger half shaft to duplicate GM's resolution of wheel hop. So are you still recommending the larger diameter shaft to be installed on the passenger side?

No, if your going to run a stock shaft with it. Put the big 300m shaft on the drivers.
If you were going to run both 300m shafts then I'd put the big one on the passenger side.

That track down by Baton Rouge had a long history of breaking parts
Which one? State Capitol or No Problem Raceway? I have broken at both so I guess it doesnt really matter. I was at State Capitol when I toasted the rear end and about 12 other vehicles that day suffered some sort of catastrophic failure. We covered everything from rearends, driveshafts, halfshafts, transmissions, and finally a couple blown motors later in the day. People started leaving for fear of breaking.

No problem Raceway, it has a reputation for breaking stuff.
Must be one hookin mofo, LOL

Well now its yes and no. They have started this crap of running all the street tired cars in one lane and the slicks in the other lane. The street tires tear up the track prep so if you get stuck in that lane during the races your screwed.
Ok guys, everything is a bit behind schedule (sorry) the big axles are going to heat treat and corrosion treatment today. Should be about a week before they are ready.
I'm also starting another batch of these so if you want a set, jump in here.
Lol thats cool. As of right now I dont have a car to put it in anyway. As luck would have it my tranny decided last week that it didnt want to work anymore and started whining really bad. Hopefully Ill have my car back about the time this comes in.
