wow......I give props for doing something that 0.000000001% of vette drivers have even thought about let along went out and did it but seriously shit like this really should result in you losing your car or at least getting punched in the grill when you pull over for gas.....
Then again this person is probably loaded and sleeps on 100's and to them the vette is like my cobalt....

Actually, that tells me that it's one of the Vettes some young guy found for cheap, but not so cheap that he could afford it and a beater pick-up or SUV in addition. He needed something that could hold his kayak but wanted an
American sports icon also. If you can only have one car...well, I guess a Vette with a roof-rack was his solution.
Certainly not as bad as some Vettes I've seen.

Needless to say, the LS1GTO.com administration keeps me on a tight leash.

I think the problem that many of use car enthusiasts tend to forget is that we are truly the minority and not everyone that drives a vette or viper or the like really cares that much about their car(s) as we do.
"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained as stupidity"-Hanlon's Razor
“since the GTO … has become affordable for people who could never afford it when it was new, we are seeing many riced out GTO's from people who could barely drive a front wheel POS…” -pharmdgto
"And yes, as the price of GTO's drops, the quality of threads here has dropped like a smurfing rock."-Konnie the Goat
With your face scrunched up like that you literally look like a dog but I can't think of which breed off the top of my head. It must run in your blood by now.
...You guys would probably be pissed if you saw my GTO with lumber sticking out my passenger window and resting the the sideview mirror
Its a smurfing car.
I feel the same way, and definitely wouldn't consider myself less of an enthusiast because of it. Then again, I drive to jobs in my GTO, and haul all my tools in the back. Drive it with dirty boots, who gives a smurf, it's a car, it's meant to be used. Nothing done that a couple hours on the weekend can't clean right up. Some people act like if a car gets too dirty, it will never be clean again or some shit. Little rocks on the road do more damage to the car than anything I've done.
That being said, I would never put a roof rack on and haul a kayak. I'd rather just bite the cost of a small trailer and get a car hitch. Of course, this goes back to what Storm said about getting the Vette and cutting corners everywhere else.

Obviously he spent all his money on the vette and only had enough left over to pay the $100 a month rent his dad charges him... wait, wut?

Tell you what, you spend a couple of hours of your spare time cleaning your carpet and then we'll compare yours to mine, which is sterile, wrapped in garbage bags and covered with pillow cases, and I only wear certain pairs of shoes in, and get back to me if you REALLY want to say "it'll never be clean again!"

Ok, I know I have lost a bit of my 'Corvette identifing' touch...... but I want to be clear here, that looks like a Z06 to me for some reason..... The worst part is, there is a carrier for that attached to the roof. That means someone designed one to fit a Vette........ Dear lord....
You guys would shit a brick if you saw what I've transported in my GTO. It's a car, I clean it, I race it, I mod it, I load equipment in it. Dogs, drums, wood, tools, & my bike. And at the end of the day it's still a clean 11 sec daily driver, rock chips and all. Props to the vette guy for enjoying his car to the fullest and not letting anything stop that.
