Convince Lothar to Buy This:

Lothar needs a daily driver like my mother needs credit and alcohol counseling.

You have no idea how many times in recent months Lothar has completely ruined his car for the lulz only to realize it's his only mode of transport.

http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/1302493403.html

Tell him to buy this.

Out of all of the possible and affordable DD's we've found, this one is CLEARLY the most awesome that I've seen.

How much fun could you not be having in this? NONE! You'd be having ALL OF THE FUN!

I mean, HOLY SHIT! It's still got the police bull-bar and SEARCH LIGHT!

If you're going to buy a cvpi, it has to be an '03 or later. They were a much better car.

I would drive that. throw a couple of antennas on the trunk and you've got yourself a left lane clearing device.

i think the 03's had a brace around the gas tank, that didnt allow it to burst into flames when rear ended, but dont hold me to that

Lothar is the first person I would expect to rear-end someone else and the last person I'd expect to be rear-ended.

It's always a riot to watch him get stuck behind a pokey on-ramp driver only to hear his cutouts roar open and then watch him downshift and terrorize the driver inches from their rear bumper. :P

nothing about the fuel tank was changed. With the full frame, and the gas tank being forward of the trunk well, the only hazard it faces is the differential cover.

Car was NG. The car in the pic was not the one for sale, and the one that was for sale was pretty beat up. It just a plain League City PD cruiser, and if it showed 88,000 on the odo that was because either the odo was broken or it had rolled over.

I'll keep looking.

I read on some forums that police hate civilian police interceptors and pay extra attention to the drivers. There are some cases of nutjobs using them to impersonate police by following closely and pulling over women who they then assault.
