If you tip the scales at 4,000lbs+ with driver and dare to take on other domestic rear wheel drive heavy weight cars like Impalas, Mercuries, Lincolns, Chargers, come on out and enjoy a fun filled day drag racing on November 7th. There will be a car show and run all day lanes if you don't want to race.
It's the 9th annual Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout held at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce GA which attracts some of fastest domestic cars in the country. Good racing and good times.
For more information and registration go to www.sshs9.com
C'mon out and play! Hope to see some 2 doors out there! If you're going to be close on weight, fill up your tank and super size your breakfast
Hey, the goat might be a bit pudgy but shes no 'super heavyweight'!
unless you consider a 3800lb two-door fat
You could go and show em what a light heavyweight can do!

With all my little "add-ons", my race weight is consistently between 3960 and 4020 depending on how much gas I have in the tank and how many seats I remove.

With the mexican food I had tonight I'm sure my tank is full and the scale will indicate that my seat is full too.
WHen I weighed with my Maggie, i was well over 4k with me in the seat but no weight reduction whatsoever.

I finally cleaned the car and got my timeslips out for a look. Did you notice that the marging of victory on our race was only 2 THOUSANTHS of a second??? I overheard somebody saying that the closest run of the day was 7 thousanths... not true apparently.
A front license plate would have made all the difference ;-)
I know, that is what made it a great race. I kick myself (and make a excuse), because I backed off just a tiny bit to keep from breaking out. I had those 2 thousands to spare. I should have stayed in it. In retrospect I would have had 2nd in the bag either way. Live and learn ..... Congrats though, I did get beat fair and square in a tight race. It made my day.... The goat held up it's end of the deal.
