Paid a big fine, lost car for a while, seems to have learned lesson-hope it works out for you.
I guess I have a different perspective about the whole street race deal. When I was much younger, my friends and I spent nearly every week-end looking for street races. We used to attend grudge nights at two of SoCal's legendary quarter miles. They were closed down for noise and escalating property values.
Big Willie and the Brotherhood of Street Racers worked a deal to set up a track down near the ship yards. We started going there-for 10 bucks(and minimal tech hassle) you could run what you brung against whomever you liked. Did that for years, too. Container companies needed the storage(supposedly) and that track was shut down. We returned to the streets.
I haven't checked out the "street" scene in many years-nor do I plan to-but, back in the day, we were careful to set-up small groups of races out in the industrial parks-no spectators and very late at night. I didn't see much risk to anyone but the participants and I didn't feel even slightly guilty about it or that I was doing anything wrong. I still don't to this day.
Now, I have seen today's punks racing in and out of traffic-they deserve to loose their licenses for a very long time and should have huge fines levied upon them. I do have a problem with all the confiscation of assets that enjoys great popularity with legislators and the law. I believe the opportunity for abuse of seizure laws is great-I don't support them.
I've also seen films of today's underground street scene-lots of spectators, way too many people and cars and too much ignorant behaviour. Sad really and other than my distaste for seizure laws, I don't feel too sorry for the hardships endured by cited involved parties.
While I don't condone street racing anymore, it doesn't surprise me that it continues-here in car crazy socal, 1/4 mile tracks that allow regular "grudge nights" are few and far between.

PS: hahaahahahahahha Mustang bitch lost control of his car.
NOTE: If someone has a smurfing parachute on the back of their car and sounds like they need it, do not race if you don't have better.

Heartless? Really??? Let's try sane, rational, intelligent, or even courteous to other drivers.
Who here does NOT live within a reasonable drive of a sanctioned 1320? There are THREE within 30-minutes of my little piece of Paradise, so I am quite certain that the OP and his "crew" could have put forth a little effort, and found a proper facility to host their "need for speed" as it were. Instead, ol' Dooshbagginz and his merry band of smurftardz here decide that endangering the lives of others is either cheaper or "funner".
Test N Tune nights happen for several reasons -one of which is so that the YD&FOC street-racing crowd doesn't endanger themselves or anyone else while getting their velocity rush.
20-years ago, there was a 1983 VW Rabbit running at one of the local tracks. It was cheap, it was safe, and more importantly, it was smurfing LEGAL! (Girlfriends car , lol)
Heartless? No, some of just choose not to coddle the stupid.

The nearest 1320 to me is a 3.5 hour drive. That one is only open if we are lucky 3 months a year.
the next is almost 7 hours. also open only seasonly...
I really need to move somewhere warm.
we arrange races on a oil field service road. at night we would only see the sheriff and us. During the day it was a semi every 15minutes. However we could see them coming from about 5 miles in each direction so it was pretty easy to avoid.
Sometimes the local Highway patrol would come out and clock us to give us some trap speeds.
everyone stayed behind the races. required seatbelts for every race. No passengers allowed. If you had been drinking, forget it. when the Highway patrol would come out they would check ID's run backgrounds just to make sure everyone was legit. They never did pass out tickets.

just sayin man. if i lost my car for any reason at all, i would not want to hear people raggin on me all day long. same would go with you i'm sure.
granted it was moronic and hopelessly poorly thought out.
not trying to start anything at all, and i am sorry if i offended you.

you know you have something good going when the police chief shows up in his vette to "hang with us kids" as he put it. An off duty LEO brings out his Nova and spanks his boss lol.
This shit is so stupid it's not even funny. Not only the starter, but all the dimwit spectators could have been killed had that Mustang lost control earlier. No safety barriers and no safety crew(Ambulance). Why people participate in this crap I have no idea.

I live about 10 miles away from our OP douchebag, and I can tell you that there are at least 5 racetracks - both 1/8th and 1/4 mile within a 30 mile radius. What he and his fellow DB's got involved in is not even remotely indicative of what you find in this area. Christ, this is NC - we have more tracks and fast cars to go with them than any other state I've ever lived in. Pay up, learn your lesson, and shut the f$%#k up already.

Such an angry little man. You're gonna pop a blood vessel like that, you know. Hope to see you on the road, I'll be sure to wave.
No, I's a dumb redneck. I suppose you're god's gift to thought??? I didn't think so. Chances are, I have you beat. I know my IQ, do you know yours??
I haven't been pulled over and arrested for organized street racing
I haven't had my license taken away for a year because of street racing
I haven't had to look at a 10k+ fine because of making an idiotic decision that could have easily been avoided
I haven't had to debate selling my car to pay for a fine caused by it

I'm out of this thread. I'm tired of reading insult after insult. If you don't like me, sit on it and spin. I hope you all die and that your families starve as a result.

This is exactly what someone with an iq of your caliber would say. Maybe if you hadn't done it in the first place, or shared it with a bunch of people who think you're an idiot for doing so, you wouldn't have gotten laughed at.
Oh, and that personal attack was both juvenile and hardly made any sense. I've seen 3 year olds throw smaller fits than you do.
