Its been a while since i seen anything mentioned,i had the fastest pass on a real street tire,no drag radials a few years ago,has anybody beat it? 11.80s a 1.76 60 ft.I ran several 7.60s in the 8th.Anybody getting a good run on a street tire?
I know JetNitro ran a 11.70 or 11.80 something on street tires smurfing around one day. 60ft was a 1.7 something.

I've gone 10.91s on street tires. MT DRs....now some will argue they aren't a street tire and I'll argue they are. It's DOT approved, the car was inspected with them on and I drive the car everyone on those tires. Therefore, street tires. No one will convince me otherwise so don't try.
If that's not what you're looking for in this thread, my bad.
EDIT: Pretty sure if I threw on a set of BFG KDWs or something I could beat an 11.7.

Hey those are great runs,i mean a 40,000 mile tire something that you would find on a daily driver.I was on kumo 225 35 20s.Im sure there have been several better runs by now just wonder what those are,i only had 530 rwhp back in them good ole days LOL
Thanks, I'm hopeful that with a good set of tires and a good 60' I could chip it down to a high 11.5x @ 122-125mph N/A then hit it with a small shot and see what she will do. We'll see I guess.
Back in August '08, some of the local Tampa Bay herd got together at Bradenton MSP for a Street Tire Drive Mod Challenge. Fun time, inspite of it being held in the middle of the hot & humid Florida summer. On Michelin Pilot Sport 235/40/18s I cut a 1.73 60' and a 12.2 ET. At least those were the #s to the best of my recollection Good enough to earn a free cheeseburger from my "Younger Brother" - bmackenn
We need to set up another event so I can defend my title This time the results could be significantly different

Yea that's right you were there I had 4 tires a jack and a bunch of other crap in the car when I ran that. It was more of a I don't give smurf run. I remember I feathered out of the hole like 1/4 throttle for about 50-60 feet then started getting into more ,when I hit second gear the car chirped really hard and started to spin me to the left... I stayed in it side ways and regained control. that was a run I will never forget or most likely try again.I think his 60' ft was better though I think I was 1.79 I remember the MPH @ 121.XX

At my last race we did some testing for our end of season true street tire event. On the factory stock tires & rim (only 2000 miles on them) went 11.23 at 129 2.1 60” and 11.31 at 127 2.01 60” Earlier that same day on MT Dr’s it went 10.26 at 133 and 10.33 at 133, I’m hoping to run in the 10.7 to 10.8 range when it’s all said and done. Just need a little more tuning to pull a little more power on the hit and lay it all in down track.
I’m testing again Oct 3rd I’ll post up some videos.
It makes you wonder how crazy the F.A.S.T. series is running 11's and 10's on 8" bias ply tires.
here are the timeas from our True Street Tire Outlaw Class (295 tire or smaller)
Steve R 10.31 @ 138mph (10.46 average #1)
John A - 10.55 @ 137mph (10.65 average #4)
Gary S - 10.57 @ 134mph (10.59 average #2)
Colin W - 10.59 @ 132mph (10.61 average #3)

here is a good way to put the hole street tire thing. it is a street tire if it has a tread wear number over 0

That is just plain sick. Some people say you gain mph when spinning. I've seen the opposite. Just as you're showing.

We have a local street tire class but I've never bothered to enter, I like the paint on my car just fine and I don’t want to do the guard rail boogie

That's some crazy times I probably have about 4000 miles on the factory stockers from 2004.
