Corvette Deals....

...since I know there are a few on here that are constantly looking to "upgrade". Here is part of an email I recieved today from a local dealer. They also have 0% for 60 but I would imagine you lose some of the rebates:

Quote:
End of the Quarter Sale on Corvettes
Excluding the ZR1 Corvette, all new 2009 Corvettes (even the Z06) from now until 9/31/09 will be sold at the GMS Factory Employee Price minus the $4,500 in available rebates. (If you qualify for additional rebates you can also use those)

Example 1:
2009 New Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 1LT
MSRP: $49,415
Dealership Invoice: $45,151.33
GMS Factory Employee Price: $43,008.73
Manufacturers Rebate: $4,000
Bonus Cash*: $500
After Rebate and Bonus Cash: $38,508.73* (Total Savings $10,906.27)

Example 2:
2009 New Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 3LT Loaded
MSRP: $67,820
Dealership Invoice: $60,815.30
GMS Factory Employee Price: $57,936.50
Manufacturers Rebate: $4,000
Bonus Cash*: $500
After Rebate and Bonus Cash: $53,436.50* (Total Savings $14,383.50)

Example 3:
2009 New Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2LZ with Nav
MSRP: $80,015
Dealership Invoice: $72,404.93
GMS Factory Employee Price: $69,038.33
Manufacturers Rebate: $4,000
Bonus Cash*: $500
After Rebate and Bonus Cash: $64,538.33* (Total Savings $15,476.67)

That's why its nice to go in with a loan from another financial institution in your pocket. Just figure out the numbers and compare your price by going with Bank/Credit Union A + rebates - better rate vs GMAC -rebates but better rate.

I'd love to find a 2010, one owner (old man?) in about 4 years from now.

Used C6 Z06s are going for $40k right now. Getting really hard to keep the GTO.

Can you please post up the probability of you getting a Z in a correct mathematical statement?

I have seen those deals many times

different places, dealers, emails, forums,(I am at corvette forum as well).

I would be happy with a corvette. scratch that, I would be very happy with a used corvette with low miles but the the only thing that always stops me is that selling the GTO after only 2.5 years would be a bad decission, financially. Maybe float the boat for another year and then look for it.

Otherwise, I would have pulled the trigger long time ago. I wish I was rich enough to keep both teh GTO and a Corvette.

You're in luck, every single used car at a dealership I've ever looked at was traded in by an old man who never drove it and always had it serviced at the dealership. They seem to go through cars quickly and have the same taste as I do. I suspect it will be the same for you.

I find that a lot of older women are getting into sports cars then trading them in on a Cadillac after only a few months! ZOMG! Must be a popular trend.

not unless it is an '06 with really high miles. Everyone says they are available for $40k, but no one ever finds one

You can probably score an average mile, well kept 06 for $42-44k though.

Because 2009 has been an atrocious year for Vette sales. I believe I read it at Corvetteblogger, but as a whole....all model variants included....only 19,000 Vette's were sold for 2009 model year.

You know, as much as I LOVE the Z06, to buy a used one for $42k with probably 30k miles or so, I think I'd prefer to save some money and get a brand new $38k 2009 1LT.
