The morning of the October 17th I will be taking photographs around the Golden Gate Bridge. Anyone who is interested in having photographs of their car taken around the GGB are more than welcome to join in.
The sunrise on Saturday October 17th is estimated at 7:20am. The best photo opportunities (pending agreeable weather) will be around that time. The lower the sun is in the sky, the more spectacular the light will be. I estimate ~15min of shooting per car (could be more or less depending on attendance and how many tourists may be around). I would also like to attempt a larger group shot (preferably early-on).
People should gather at the Coast Guard harbor at 7:00am. Photography will begin at sunrise (or maybe even before) on a first-come-first-serve type of basis (so if you snooze, you may just loose).
If we get done early and the weather/light is agreeable we might try another location by the Golden Gate Bridge.
I will try to keep an eye on the weather and if it looks like there will be lots of fog, I will post updates in this thread.
I'm thinking maybe between 7:30 and 8. If the sun is too low it might cast long shadows on the cars from the buildings that would be behind us. But probably safer to show up early and see how the light looks at sunrise.

Oh crap. I just now saw this. I guess all we can do is at least scope it out, but I bet we'll have to try it another weekend.
Treasure Island will be for another weekend. I will still be doing photography on the 17th over by the Golden Gate Bridge (the first post has been updated with the details). There is a nice location where you can get the bridge in the background.
Since it appears the Hwy1 cruise has been canceled, there will be more than enough time on 10/17 to do lots of photography around the Golden Gate for those who are still interested.
If you trust long-term weather projections, this weekend looks to be clearing-up for sunny skies. I'm still planning on shooting, but would like to get an official headcount for who will be attending the photo shoot. I will be updating the first post with the list.
It doesn't seem like there are many who are available to do this on Saturday. So, at this point I'm going to cancel the shoot for now. Sometime in the future we'll try it again.
