I went to school with some dumb ass that did the same thing in a early 90s Thunderbird. He wasn't so lucky with the landing. All four people in the car died.

At least they had a guy with a radio relaying that the road was clear. That could have turned into a real tragedy if there had been somebody on that road approaching.
